Description

Open World Warp Points v2

Update 10/20/24 -Completely revamped the mod for broader functionality in-game and simpler implementation, including a version that restores the festival warp points to Altissia.

Open World Warp Points removes the restriction on warp points being flagged for in-combat use only, making all points available across the entire game at all times. Works in Insomnia, dungeons, all of Lucis, etc... Version 2 preserves the original distances and parameters for the warp points, eliminating the issue of possibly warping across loading zones thousands of meters away and seeing too many warp options.

There are two mod versions:

  1. All warp points are enabled with no script changes, keeping the edit to a singular file.
  2. Includes the above, plus adds some custom scripts to restore the use of Altissia warp points from the Moogle Chocobo Carnival.

Third optional version:

Old Version 1 - Manually altered most warp points across Lucis only, but with substantially increased range. Can still be downloaded in the files tab

Note: You can still use v1 alongside v2 if you prefer the extended warp range from the previous version, while still covering the missed warp points that were only added with version 2. The extended range will still only affect those that were manually altered in version 1 however.

The game does block you from warping outside a battle area during combat, even if you can target one.

I now have the ability to adjust warp point ranges more broadly and may release a separate version with extended ranges similar to v1 in the future. Until then, the current mod is fully compatible with the older version, allowing you to retain the extended range benefit for most warp points, which should work well enough for now, and might be safer. The extended range from the old version wasn't always the safest way to travel.

For those that can't get this to work, I have made a manual install version you can use here.
https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy15/mods/274 The reason it isn't working is due to a bug with Flagrum that prevents some users from modifying files that load early in the game, which is a rare bug without a known fix. The manual install version is the only workaround for now.  This should be fixed with Flagrum update 1.5.17
