The default moon in FFXV hides the incredible work they put into making a complex night sky and moon system and textures for the game. Each region and climate able to specify unique parameters, allowing for the complex and beautiful weather system we have today. But sadly, they shrunk the moon and kept it so bright, that the moon resembles just a small spotlight in the sky.
This mod is a lightweight modification to the sky, resorting to zero script changes, and instead changing the moon across the world in each unique climate all in a single weather file depending on the version of the mod selected. This is an advantage over the older methods of changing the weather or sky, as it integrates the large moon in all weather and unique region climates, instead of making the climate the same everywhere. Avoiding needing to do that was the premise of making this mod, as it keeps FFXV feeling like they intended, just with the minimal changes needed to add a touch of fantasy to the night sky.
Regular - This increases the size of the moon to resemble our real world moon size
Large - This is the exaggerated moon size, helping add a bit other worldliness, but while keeping the moon color matching our own traditional moon.
Large + Red - This keeps the large size of the moon, however changes the shade to match both the demo version of the moon from Episode Duscae, as well as the hidden moon that exists in Insomnia in ch14 in the release version.
In addition to moon changes, this overhauls the stars and Milky Way in the sky as well. Changing vibrancy, the twinkling effect, size variance and star brightness.
