First seen in my ASE mod - ARK: Reclamation. A crowd favorite of my ASE mod, the Ditetraceras (after accidentally deleting ALL of my progress for my FIRST attempt haha) has finally come charging in to ASA!
But what does it do? For those unfamiliar, I'll tell you! It might look similar to a Trike, but don't underestimate it. The Ditetraceras has a hidden skill that makes it a valuable dino to have: AOE torpor-inducing gas clouds when it stomps!
Visually, Ditetraceras across the board are sporting some feathers from it's Atlas Shieldhorn relative... and they've all lost their smaller nose horns compared to their Trike relatives. They also sport some shiny emissive patterns as well as glowing horns. The Ditetraceras actually get their namesake from the sexual dimorphism they have: While all Ditetraceras have 2 glowing horns on their head (DI), the males have an additional 2 glowing horns in a similar location you'd see on a Shieldhorn (Tetra). (UPDATE) There is now a Scorched variant of the Ditetraceras that bears a visual similarity to the X-Trike from Genesis: Part 1
There's also a special mechanic that was a crowd favorite for the Ditetraceras in ASE: The Gland Grenade! A slight departure from using Luxpred Toxin to craft (since I don't know how to make cross-mod dependencies), but now you'll need 5 Cnidaria Toxin AND 1 Poison Grenade to craft 1 Gland Grenade
(UPDATE) REINTRODUCING from the ASE days of ARK: Reclamation: The Aegiceras. While the Ditetraceras was basically a hybrid of the Ark Trike & the Atlas Shieldhorn, The Aegiceras is basically a much larger hybrid of the Atlas Shieldhorn & The Ark Sytracosaurus. Similar to the Ditetraceras, the Aegiceras excels at knocking out it's targets. However, instead of a dust cloud - as per the name - the Aegiceras deploys an AOE shield that rapidly hits it's target.
