By Default settings they spawn anywhere and everywhere on all maps. You can disable / manipulate spawns using the Admin Remote custom to the mod.
(Info About the Admin Remote / Configuring the mod) - This mod uses an in-game custom admin remote accessible only through creative mode as an item you can craft. This admin remote allows you to have access to a menu that is able to Spawn the Items and Creatures in the mod, as well as configure things in the mod to balance the mod itself to your liking.
