JVH Landscaping

Cross-Platform compatible

Current Version: 1.95 (PC and Console)

JVH Landscaping started life as a lightweight mod that exposed a number of the in-game tree and bush/plant assets as craftable garden decor items as well as some small and larger rocks. It has since evolved to include water foliage and crystals/mushrooms. The leafy structures can all be placed on saddle platforms, but will shake and shudder when in motion (globally disabling foliage interaction in your client settings will fix). If you want versions of some (but not all) of these items that do not do that, please see the JVH Platform Plants mod (https://www.curseforge.com/ark-survival-ascended/mods/jvh-platform-plants).

NOTE: This mod is designed to work on the maps that have assets included here (Island, Scorched, Aberration, Extinction) Due to its dependency on assets in the maps/live game, modded maps may do things with base materials and other things that can break this mod or cause other strange behaviors to occur with those maps--so use at own risk on anything but Wildcard maps.

For additional garden decor using unique meshes and materials, check out our sister mod: (https://www.curseforge.com/ark-survival-ascended/mods/jvh-garden-decor)

When the mod reaches 2.0 we will consider it mostly complete--that release should include some Extinction assets, Ragnarok assets and a few other additions. Once complete content-wise, we'll focus more on adding features and optimizing. This hopefully means more snap points for ivy and other wall-based plants as well as moving a few items to instanced meshes to help with some performance.

Features

  • Many bio-luminescent plants and crystals can have their color changed
  • Can increase/decrease size on many pieces
  • Basic ini settings to assist with performance/abuse on shared servers
  • Snap points for vines and wall plants with more options to come (snaps hurt my head)
  • Rock materials should adapt to the map (snow/sand/etc) if it is a Wildcard map
