One day, while conducting a particularly risky procedure, Rockwell realized he needed to test his creation. He lured a pack of wild predators from the island into the water where his megalodon swam. The ensuing battle was a spectacle of raw power. The Megalodon, now dubbed the DreadMaws”, tore through their prey with ease, their newfound strength making them unstoppable.
Rockwell’s success came at a cost however. The DreadMaws began to exhibit signs of agresison & independence. No longer content to follow their creators commands, they started patrolling the waters around the island. The Islands was shattered & Rockwell found himself increasingly isolated.
On a Stormy night, as lightning illumintated the sky & waves crashed against the shore, Rockwell made a fatefull decision. he would attempt to regain control over the DreadMaw using a neural link device of his own design. With trembling hands, he initiated the procedure, hoping reassert his dominance over the monstrous creation.
But the DreadMaw, driven by primal fury & enhanced intellect, resisted The neural link backfired, sending a surge of energy through the lab. Rockwell’s scream echoed through the cave as his own creation turned on him, exacting their revenge. The lab was left in ruins, a testament to Rockwell;s hubris & monsters he had unleashed.
The island never returned to it’s deceptive tranquility, but the legend of Edmund Rockwell & his megalodon lived on. Those who venture the island speak of colossal sharks with gleaming metal eyes filled wiith a errie intelligence. Deep beneath the waves, the DreadMaws continue to lurk, the ultimate apex predators born from one man’s decent into madness.
The DreadMaw's attack is a Gnash + Electro bite that stuns for a short moment.
