CosmeticThrall is a companion Thrall mod based on the Thrall NPC from the Lost Colony DLC. It is still in active development, so expect occasional changes and possible issues along the way.

How to summon:

Craft the summon item and use it. Before using, view the item description — it will automatically scan nearby tribe dinos and display the base stats of the highest-level one found. The summoned Thrall will mirror those stats. Player level has no effect on the result.

Main Features:

Cosmetic skin support. Cosmetic skin items can be applied to the Thrall. Armor and shields can be equipped directly from the Thrall's inventory. Weapons must be equipped separately while in possession mode.

CosThrallConfig Wheel Menu. A dedicated wheel icon menu for CosmeticThrall. Use it to access feature toggles and behavior settings.

Guard Mode. Replaces the previous Turret Mode. After defeating a wild dino or enemy, the Thrall will return to its original position and facing direction. Guard Mode functions identically while mounted on a dino.

Patrol Mode. Set waypoints using Add Patrol WayPoint and the Thrall will loop through them in order. Clear Patrol WayPoints removes all saved waypoints. Waypoints can also be placed while possessing the Thrall — access the same controls from your own wheel icon during possession.

Weapon Equip Toggle. Toggle whether the Thrall stays armed at all times. When enabled, the Thrall will remain armed in Follow, Guard, and Patrol modes. (Harvest and Hauling modes are excluded.)

Additional toggles available in the CosThrallConfig menu: Thrall mode icon toggle, auto-teleport follow sound and effect toggle, and gender swap toggle.

Auto-teleport follow. If the Thrall loses its path and falls too far behind, it will teleport to catch up. The effect and sound can be toggled via the CosThrallConfig menu.

Additional Improvements:

The Thrall functions with proper AI behavior while mounted on a dino. Wandering. The Thrall can now properly use the Wandering option from the behavior wheel. Turret Mode. Turret Mode is now available in the dino behavior tab when the Thrall is mounted. Ride Dino Behavior Sharing. When the Thrall is mounted on a dino, behavior wheel settings are automatically synchronized between both. This includes follow target, follow distance, aggression level, AI targeting range, ignore whistles, ignore ally look, and turret mode. Hauling Mode now works correctly in situations where crafting slots overflow, such as with campfires.

How to change weapons:

Possess the Thrall, then place a weapon item in quickslot 9. Unpossess to apply. The Thrall will swap to the matching class while keeping its name, stats, and inventory intact.
