GuildGang

An MMR duel league, tournaments, guild currency and supply shop, bank donation rewards, guild map markers, Blackjack, Hold’em, Dice, and native guild chat with Discord linking—all in one hub for WoW Forever.

GuildGang — your guild, in one place

Give your guild an MMR duel league, its own currency and supply shop, and a casino between battles. GuildGang brings ranked duels, tournaments, bank donation rewards, help requests, guild map markers, chat and the native roster together in one Warcraft-style hub for WoW: Forever. Open it with the Guild button, your normal guild keybinding or /guildgang.

Latest submitted build: 0.28.52 Beta — November 4 launch candidate. Development now targets the launch client. Game 1.60.1 / interface 16001 remains the last verified compatibility tag, not a claim of launch-client acceptance. Check the file page for approval and update participating members together.

Built for your own guild: your roster, native ranks, Discord invitation and separate guild/realm records. Formerly Zugpilled, GuildGang keeps the existing Zugpilled addon folder, saved records, /zug command and project URL so updates preserve your data.

Watch the tutorials

The full tutorial uses Uncle Sneaky’s actual recorded character. Its map segment illustrates example guildmate and help-request positions over real map footage; it is a feature demonstration, not a captured multiplayer tracking test.

Install and set up your guild

  1. In CurseForge, choose the compatible Forever installation, allow Beta files and install GuildGang’s latest approved compatible build.

  2. OpenMap is a Required Dependency. The CurseForge app installs it alongside GuildGang. Manual ZIP users install OpenMap’s compatible Forever build separately in the same client. Its launch-client compatibility will also be checked when that client is available. Fully close and reopen WoW after installing a new addon.

  3. For an existing guild, update the actual GM client once with other updated members online so its complete ledger seeds the new shared replicas. Preserve existing SavedVariables; do not initialize over history. New empty guild ledgers initialize automatically from the native GM’s client.

  4. Use Officers → Members → Edit bulletin for the native guild messages. Put your own Discord invite in guild information. For a separate news card, add a blank line, GUILD NEWS, then the news on the next line.

  5. Use Officers → Reviews to set donation rewards and shop stock. List only real supplies your guild can deliver.

After migration, routine play no longer needs a GM or officer online. Updated ordinary members automatically coordinate matching duel results, Zugbucks, bank rewards, help/delivery completion, tournament boards and casino funding. This background role gives no officer permissions. Members need the addon and its map dependency; they do not need a bot token or desktop Host app.

Safe availability: financial changes require a majority of the established current replicas. Membership rotates automatically while the old group can agree. If too few current copies are online, transactions queue rather than spend stale balances. Duel observations and pending requests retry automatically. This does not promise safe spending from an arbitrary lone stale client.

Explore the guild hub

  • Home: the native message of the day, guild information, authored news and upcoming activity. Breathing notifications and their tooltips point to unread messages and actions.

  • Chat: guild conversations and whispers, adjustable text size, correctly coloured clickable item links and unread guildmate-whisper alerts.

  • Roster: the game’s original guild roster and member controls inside GuildGang. Normal native rank permissions apply.

  • Fight Club: animated top-three character cards, the full MMR ladder, opponent ratings and potential rating changes, personal duel history and post-duel reports with head-to-head and overall records.

  • Ask for Help: detailed quest, dungeon, crafting, materials and PvP requests with relevant icons, contextual responses, progress and map locations. Offline requesters hide until they return.

  • Zugbucks: a guild supply shop showing your balance, prices and actual stock for bags, consumables, crafting materials, tabards and disenchanting supplies. Orders require real delivery by a guild supplier.

  • Donations: actual guild-bank activity, item names and tooltips, configured reward rates, milestones and personal progress. Each member’s supported new deposits can earn automatic rewards after supported evidence reaches the automatically replicated ledger.

  • Casino: Blackjack, Texas Hold’em and Dice, with free solo practice, visible chips, seats around the table and compact bet/action controls.

  • Invite: normal-permission guild recruitment, your own Discord invitation and member setup information. Personal settings remain available here or through /guildgang settings.

  • Officers: the GM and the rank directly below GM manage rewards, stock, exceptions, member/alt profiles, activity records, events and ledger recovery. Guild Health and Addon Diagnostics are under Administration.

Report bug offers private delivery to guild leadership and a support copy. Include your version, what you expected and any error text; keep credentials and private guild notes out of reports.

Your guild on the game map

Guildmate positions and active help-request markers appear on the normal world map, including OpenMap’s seamless view. Sharing and refresh happen automatically while the required data is available.

Exact guildmate pins require that member’s GuildGang position reports. Members without those reports can still appear in the roster-based guild zone summary. Zone summaries are approximate; they do not establish a member’s exact position or layer. The regular world map remains supported if OpenMap is disabled.

Fight Club: ranked, practice, rivals and tournaments

Ordinary duels are ranked when both players enable Ranked. Either player can switch it off for practice. Accepted direct Fight Club challenges count as ranked. New MMR changes require confirmed levels within ten levels; wider gaps can still record a result without changing rating.

  • Domination: three consecutive qualifying ranked wins against one opponent. Further wins against that dominated opponent award no MMR until they win Revenge.

  • Killing Spree: five straight qualifying wins against the same opponent, with no extra rating bonus. There is no daily duel limit.

  • Rivals: at least 35 qualifying ranked duels, ten wins each, and mutually being each other’s most-fought opponent. Rival recognition adds no MMR bonus.

  • Tournaments: upcoming events, eligibility, signups and visible single- or double-elimination brackets. New brackets grow as members sign up, up to 32 entries, with an optional smaller cap. The bracket freezes when play begins.

Both fighters receive a post-duel report after their matching reports are confirmed through the automatic coordinator and committed replicas. Personal settings can mute the optional short countdown, streak and supported quick-win callouts. Podium cards use the current cached/stand-in character solution when a complete character model is unavailable.

One challenge button, clear stakes

Challenge guildmate handles both Ranked duel — no wager and Wager duel — gold or Zugbucks. The send review and incoming popup show NO WAGER or the exact positive stakes EACH. An incoming-only response button handles offers. Challenges can be issued from any location.

In 0.28.50, you can also queue an invitation for an offline guildmate. The guild-scoped inbox lasts seven days, survives reloads and supports acceptance, decline and cancellation. Find it under My duels → Challenge offers or Respond to challenge.

Delivery retries automatically through the sender and updated shared replicas. Accepting an offline invitation records interest only. When both fighters are online and shared records are ready, the sender creates a fresh live offer for final consent and current funding checks. Queued invitations reserve no gold or Zugbucks.

Rewards, donations and evidence

Donation rules cover gold rates and milestone bonuses, quantity-based materials/reagents, quality-tier equipment accepted as disenchanting stock, and exact recipe bounties. Only the GM and the rank directly below GM set guild-sponsored rates and stock.

The first usable bank-history scan establishes a non-paying baseline. Supported, uniquely identified new deposits earn configured rewards automatically. Older history does not create retroactive payouts, and queued reports are not yet spendable balances. Current captured policy that has not arrived yet waits for synchronization; it is not an officer approval. Larger eligible item rewards use bounded, durable payout chunks with duplicate protection.

Shop delivery supports every current SKU category with exact paired completed-trade evidence from ordinary guild suppliers, including native-capacity bags, the actual guild tabard and eligible quality-tier disenchant equipment. Item data that is still loading waits. Stock, reservations, matching quantities, conflicting reports and receipt reuse remain checked. Material help can use shared standing rates set once by leadership from the request’s material action. A participant confirming help is not an officer review.

Officers see genuine exceptions: conflicting or reused evidence, disputed completion, unknown historical promises, suspicious bank histories, corrections and policy decisions. Ordinary waiting receipts and unpaid-wager reminders no longer create busywork in that queue. New unsupported contribution self-claims have been replaced with guided verified earning paths; their history is preserved.

The shop tracks real guild supplies. It does not create items, automatically mail them or replace the supplier’s delivery.

Casino tables

Blackjack shows every player’s public hand, bet, total and result. The dealer’s hole card stays hidden while players act. Every seated player confirms an affordable bet before dealing; the last completed result remains visible. Updated clients use the host’s shared reveal schedule.

Texas Hold’em keeps private cards hidden until the appropriate showdown or your Show / Keep hidden choice. Hosts can choose free chips, Zugbucks or gold, with buy-ins, rebuys and cashing out remaining chips between hands. One paid chip represents one Zugbuck or one silver at a gold table; free practice chips stay separate.

Zugbucks funding uses committed shared-ledger receipts without requiring an online GM. Gold buy-ins and cashouts use real player-clicked trades with matching receipts. The table host holds the gold liabilities; GuildGang does not escrow or protect gold. Interrupted host sessions preserve remaining stacks as cashout claims. The table host runs the game, so these tables are intended for trusted guildmates.

Discord guild chat and the optional Host beta

Native guild chat uses WoW and Discord’s own account/guild linking. Link your own Battle.net and Discord accounts, then use the native guild controls to select the linked server/channel. Follow Discord’s official linking guide for the account, channel and permission steps.

Guild Health’s Not checked means this client has no observed relay confirmation; it does not prove an account is unlinked. External invitation/bulletin links are selectable for copying. GuildGang cannot embed Discord, launch external apps or directly join/leave Discord voice channels.

Optional Discord rank matching and saved duel-result recaps use a separate, guild-specific GuildGang Host beta on one Windows PC. Its public download is still pending, and it is not included in the addon ZIP. It does not replace native chat linking, and other guilds never use the author’s configured bot.

The Discord server owner verifies mains and alts; the highest verified in-game rank controls the matching role. The Host checks saved public guild exports after /reload or logout, about once a minute. In 0.28.52, an explicitly designated same-guild member or alt can export the roster and committed duel results, then relay the Host’s public membership-health snapshot through the automatic coordinator with the GM offline. Native GM ownership and guild permissions remain unchanged. Native chat-link evidence remains independent of bot membership checks.

The PC must remain on, signed in, online and running the Host. Missing saved data pauses sync and offers an explicit same-guild file-repair choice; the companion never silently adopts an old stress-test installation or another guild. Remembered credentials survive a normal restart. The designated character must reload/logout to export, then reload after the companion writes a new check. This is saved-file exchange, not live memory access. Independent new-guild owner acceptance remains in testing.

Launch candidate: validation and updates

The new coordination build is tested with deterministic multi-client Lua simulations, including the actual rate-limited transport, ordinary-member duel and donation payouts, coordinator loss, overlapping replica rotation, partitions, reload/replay and privacy checks. Idle checks avoid encoding lifetime history and routine changes use deltas. Those checks do not replace live multi-client acceptance. The November 4 launch-client APIs, native multiplayer/bank and gold-trade acceptance remain pending. The tutorials were recorded before 0.28.51; their GM-online requirement is superseded by the migration and availability notes above.

Gold moves only through real player-clicked trade controls. There is no automatic gold escrow, mail or Auction House payout. Guild records rely on trusted addon clients and SavedVariables. Replica acknowledgments confirm in-memory copies; WoW writes them to disk on a normal reload/logout. Large histories can take additional time to synchronize initially. Preserve SavedVariables when updating, keep one legacy Zugpilled addon folder, and use the CurseForge file notes for the exact version’s validation and limitations.
