Zephras Collector records what you discover while you play WoW Forever and adds it to the free database at zephras.com. Every feature in detail: zephras.com/collector.
Features and what they do for you
Quick links to zephras.com Hover almost anything in the game, such as an item, spell, NPC, or quest, and press Ctrl+C to get its zephras.com address, ready to open in your browser or share in chat. For you: look up drop rates, quest details, or an NPC's location in seconds, without searching by name.
Automatic recording while you play The addon notes what the game shows you as you play: the NPCs you meet, the quests you take and finish, the loot you find, the bosses you defeat, and the places you gather. For you: nothing to set up and nothing to click. There are no pop-ups, no chat messages, and no change to your interface.
Quests nobody has met yet While you stand still out of combat, the addon asks the game server about one quest every few seconds from a list of quests Zephras has no text for, at most 200 per play session, never in combat, dungeons, or on flight paths. For you: quest pages fill in before anyone has done the quest. Untick "Ask for quests Zephras lacks while I stand still" in the Zephras panel to turn it off.
Zephras panel (minimap button or /zephras) A small panel for sending feedback to the Zephras team from inside the game. For you: report a wrong page or an idea without leaving the game.
Free desktop uploader (optional) The Zephras Uploader for Windows, Mac, and Linux sends your data after you log out and keeps this addon up to date. For you: contribute without ever opening a file. You can also upload by hand at zephras.com/upload.
How your data is used
Log out or /reload, then upload the save (or let the uploader do it). Every upload is checked, and a record appears on the site once a trusted player or two players agree.
What it never records
- Your character's name or anyone else's.
- Anything the game hides from addons.
- Player chat or whispers, or anything personal.
Performance
Light on your game: it reads what the game already shows you, asks the server about one quest at a time only while you stand still, and writes a few small rows as you play.
