When I logged in today, I was annoyed to find Blizz had messed up the UI again. So I made this addon to fix it back to how it was, more or less. It is still a little buggy and sloppy in places, but I hope you like it regardless. It is based on an addon by Floraline, but theirs doesn't to as good a job of replicating the original UI as this one, IMO.
Please report any issues here.
i do not have a githup acc so im posting here: the bar is not centered for me not even close :-(. its about 5 to 6 cm too far to the right
Are you still going to update this? The new UI plainly sucks and this addon has been a lifesafer. However... there are some issues with it. Moving bars, moving buttons and other weird things.
Thanks!
YOU ARE HERO OF OUR WORLD!!! TY BRO
any way to adjust for different resolutions? buttons overlap in higher res
Based on this Zap's Retro UI addon I created a more complete addon named ClassicUI that allows to restore the pre-8.0.1 interface with the main objective of being as faithful as possible to the original. Works well in all resolucions and UI scales. You can also personalize the action bars positions and the addon bring a some extra features that you can activate if you want.

Zaperox, your addon has been my main inspiration when creating a ClassisUI, thank you so much!!!!
i think we can officially start using this one instead :) , ( https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/classic-action-bars )

I don't want to be impatient but is there any ETA for a fixed version? I really appreciate what you did but the shifting issue is quite annoying. Still better than the old interface but would be great to optimize it.
Thank you and Greetings
I just want to give you my thanks.
I can't say how grateful I am (as surely many many others are) that you made and published this addon. (Blizzard's new ui was driving me mad!)
I will be keeping you in my prayers good sir.
Thank you again.
You sir, are a legend.
I don't know what the 8.0 UI dev was smoking back there, but it doesn't make any sense.
This is much better. Thanks.
You are doing the Lord's work.
nice
Hi! Thanks a lot for this :)
Just a small request: Please add an option to move the bar since for me it's too far to the left.
And I think it gets bugged or something when there's a pet on for example warlock, the upper action bars move even further up.
First of all - thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for this addon!
However I'm having three issues: one where the XP bars and Reputation bars are under the top row of buttons, the other is that the whole bottom bar is no longer centered on my screen (it needs to move left), the final one is that the empty box outlines are missing on the upper right bar (between the two healing spells and the blessings) - I like to see the empty boxes as spacers.
See attached. (https://s15.postimg.cc/gbubstjor/issue.png)
Any suggestions on how to fix it?
I have exactly the same problem. :(

Hey Zaperox,
great addon, thanks a lot! I'd like to confirm that this is definitely needed, because the changed Blizzard UI just sucks - takes up space that I want to use for different things.
When I read your description I understand that you'd want your addon to be perfect. I'd like to support this by listing the bugs and effects that I witness. Some of the effects are occasional, and I don't judge the importance. I try not to repeat the issues that other people already posted, unless I have further information.
- Sometimes there's a vertical gap between the upper and the lower action bar. It tends to wobble a bit, I've seen that a few times when going out of combat. It also seems to "wobble down" when I use the arrow buttons to change the lower left action bar.
- Before the prepatch there was a small horizontal gap between the left and the right bar. About 6px or so.
- The whole thing is to far to the right. I used MoveAnything to push MainMenuBar 104px to the left; this had the right end of the action bars exactly at the same position as before (measured by a ButtonForge bar that was aligned perfectly). I have to mention that my horizontal resolution is 2560px, so it might require different values for others. (Unfortunately when moving just like this "sometimes" the buttons don't work any more. I couldn't figure out why.)
- The main bag pack's icon seems to be bigger than the other ones. All too big though, as somebody already mentioned.
- The bags seem to be a bit off of their space. A pixel or two too low, not exactly aligned to their spots. The lower action bar looks a bit weird too, although I never studied their looks so intensively as I do now ;)
- When I check the "FS" box in MoveAnything to search for containers, some of them seem to have positions that I don't understand (e.g. MainMenuBarArtFrame and MultiBarBottomLeft). It seems to me they wobble a bit too.
That's it for now. Again, thanks for your addon! I desperately need it.
Awesome thank you for doing this. I have a ton of original UI pics if you need for lining stuff up let me know. Currently the bar isn't centered, its off to the right like 3/4 of a gryphons worth. I think the tips of the up/down arrows to the right of "=" hotkey are supposed to be the center of the screen. Also, the right action bar needs to shrink just a hair more and be brought down another maybe 1/8"
You rock! Thanks a lot!
First of all, thanks a bunch!
This is so much better than the nonsense that was imposed. I really don't mind if other people want it, but I think Blizzard ought to have let us keep the default and added some options.
Who knew that something as basic as the default UI could be missed? I've played with it since the beginning, adding a few tweaks here and there (I hide (and have just done so again) the gryphons), so it became a reliable constant.
I really do hope you continue to maintain and tweak this. It's already better than what we (what I) had, but I'll address what the others have said so far:
If you need any help - screenshots, testing or such - I'll be happy to do what I can.
