Replace unfamiliar players’ names with immersive class and level labels. Remember Known and Hated players, keep encounter notes, and customize recognition colors. Includes companion recognition and backups.

You Look Familiar makes player recognition part of your adventure. Replace unfamiliar players’ names with immersive class and level labels, remember Known and Hated players in a personal ledger, and keep notes on your encounters. Includes customizable colors, companion recognition, and backups for your people and settings.

Unknown (Unseen)
Strangers you haven’t encountered or recognized yet. With chat name replacement enabled, unfamiliar speakers appear as “Unknown” instead of revealing their character names. Seeing someone speak in a public channel doesn’t automatically mean you know them.

Seen
A face you’ve passed in the world. When the addon identifies a nearby player, their label uses your Seen format—such as Warrior (15)—instead of their name. You can customize which details appear, including race, class, and level. Seen history stays in the background without cluttering your People list.

Known
Players you have a connection with. Party and raid members, friends, guildmates, and whisper contacts can become Known automatically. Supported Familiar Faces recognition also counts, and you can mark someone Known yourself. Known players use your chosen name layout and appear in your People ledger, where you can add private notes and custom labels. Automatic notes can record how you met, such as “Joined a Party” or “Guild Member.”

Hated
Someone you want to remember for your own reasons. Hated is a manual designation, never assigned automatically. It has its own color, uses your Known-style name layout, and lets you save a private note explaining the encounter. Automatic recognition won’t remove a Hated mark.

Your Personal Ledger
The People list focuses on Known and Hated players, with recognition dates, editable notes, and custom labels. These records are private to your addon and can be exported alongside your settings for backup.

Opposite-Faction Players
Opposite-faction nameplates always use your Seen text format, regardless of recognition state. Yellow indicates an unflagged player; red indicates a PvP-flagged player. NPC nameplates remain unchanged.
