Yards to Kilometers

See distances in metric units while playing World of Warcraft.

Yards to Kilometers converts yard measurements in the game's text, such as spell tooltips, into meters or kilometers. For example, 30 yd becomes 27 m, and a range like 8-35 yd becomes 7 m - 32 m.

Features

• Automatic units: meters for short distances, kilometers for long ones, or kilometers only if you prefer.
• Your choice of detail: compact or precise numbers.
• Metric only, or both: show 27 m, or keep the original next to it as 30 yd (27 m).
• Decimal point or comma: 0.5 km or 0,5 km.
• Ranges included: both ends of ranges are converted, whether written 8-35 yd or 8 to 35 yards.
• Set once: settings are saved account-wide and apply instantly.

Supported game versions

Works on Classic Era (including Hardcore) and WoW Forever, with one download for both. Check the file list for the game versions each release supports.

Good to know

• The addon changes displayed text only. It never alters spell ranges, targeting, range checks, or game mechanics.
• Conversion is best-effort: some game or addon text may stay in yards, and text with links or icons is left unchanged.
• English unit labels are recognized: yard, yards, yd, and yds.
