What's new

X-Perl Forever 1.0.21

  • Enable native right-click cancellation for removable buffs displayed on the player frame. Blizzard handles the clicked aura securely; player debuffs and other units' auras are unaffected. Existing Classic secure-header cancellation is retained.
  • Add Settings > Display > Hide XP / reputation bars, default OFF. It hides Blizzard's status tracking area and restores its prior opacity when switched off. Combat changes apply after combat ends, and the setting is reapplied after native refreshes or late loading.
  • Document both player controls in What's New alongside the XPCC overview. Update the unread revision so the new notes appear once when options are opened.

Verification: focused tests reproduce 1.0.20 omitting native buff cancellation and verify the actual group initialization callbacks for player/helpful-only cancellation. Tracking-bar tests cover OFF by default, ON/OFF restoration, native opacity updates, combat deferral, profile changes and late loading. Existing optional-settings, aura-display, aura-sizing, XPCC opt-in and presentation checks pass. Lua/XML/TOC checks and ZIP/source equality are verified by packaging. These are offline checks; live clicking and visuals remain to be verified.

In-game testing: after /reload, open /xperl and check the new What's New entries. Right-click a removable player buff, including after the aura order changes and during combat; confirm only that buff is removed and ordinary tooltip behavior remains. Confirm debuffs and other units' icons are unaffected. Under Settings > Display, enable Hide XP / reputation bars, then disable it and confirm the area restores. Test after an XP gain, reputation change, reload and combat transition.

Prepared for local test deployment; not uploaded. Existing preferences and SavedVariables files are not edited during deployment.
