XNDR

See the diminishing returns of every stun, fear, incapacitate, silence and root you cast, with a DR percentage and a countdown right next to your target and focus, for every class in WoW: Forever.

XNDR: Diminishing Returns for WoW: Forever

Know before you press it. XNDR shows the diminishing returns (DR) of your crowd control next to your target's and your focus's portrait: one icon per DR group, how much shorter your next CC will be, and a countdown until the DR is gone. Stun someone, then fear them, and both icons sit side by side, each with its own timer.

It works for every class, and every spell is grouped the way WoW: Forever itself groups it.

What you see

Next to the portrait, one icon per DR group you've used on that player:

  • 50% (yellow): your next CC of this kind lasts half as long
  • 75% (orange): your next one lasts a quarter as long
  • 100% (red, red border): immune until the timer runs out

Under each icon is a countdown to the moment the player is back to full duration. Hover an icon to see its group.

Each group's icon is made from your own spells in it, two of them split along the diagonal. A Warlock's fear icon is half Fear, half Seduction, and a Rogue's incapacitate icon is half Sap, half Gouge.

Every enemy keeps their own DR, so you can switch targets and come back without losing anything. Enemy pets count too.

Every DR group of WoW: Forever

Which spells share a DR is read straight from Forever's own game data, so XNDR matches the live game, Forever's own changes included. Over 160 spells, pet abilities and items:

  • Stuns: Cheap Shot, Hammer of Justice, Bash, Pounce, Charge, Intercept, Concussion Blow, Shockwave, Demon Charge, Intimidation, the Felguard's Intercept, War Stomp, and every engineering bomb, grenade and mortar
  • Kidney Shot: its own group, apart from the other stuns
  • Incapacitates: Polymorph, Sap, Gouge, Repentance, Hibernate, Scatter Shot, Banish, Shackle Undead, Chastise, Confounding Flash
  • Fears: Fear, Howl of Terror, Seduction, Psychic Scream, Intimidating Shout, Scare Beast, Turn Undead
  • Mind Control: Mind Control, Subjugate Demon, Gnomish Mind Control Cap
  • Silences: Silence, plus Kick, Shield Bash and Counterspell with the talents that make them silence, and Arcane Bombs
  • Roots: Entangling Roots, Frost Nova, Entrapment
  • Random stuns: talent procs such as Impact and Pyroclasm

No DR in Forever, so not shown: Death Coil, Blind, Disarm, Spell Lock's silence.

Smart counting

  • Only what landed counts. Shortly after each cast, XNDR checks whether your debuff actually appeared on the player. A Fear eaten by a Grounding Totem, a resist, an immune or an out-of-range cast adds no DR.
  • Area spells like Psychic Scream, Frost Nova, War Stomp and bombs count on your target and your focus, each only if it landed on them.
  • Early breaks: when XNDR sees your CC end early (broken by damage, dispelled), the DR timer starts from that moment.
  • No double counting: a spell the game reports twice (like Seduction) counts once.

Settings

Click the minimap button or type /xndr:

  • Test mode shows your class's DR groups going through 50%, 75% and immune, even without a target. Drag the icons wherever you want them, separately for target and focus.
  • Show on the target frame, the focus frame, or both
  • Icon size and text size (the icons also follow your target and focus frames' scale in Edit Mode)
  • DR reset time (18 seconds by default)
  • Debug messages, minimap button on or off

Commands: /xndr, /xndr test, /xndr groups, /xndr reset <seconds>, /xndr debug, /xndr minimap, /xndr clear, /xndr help

Good to know

  • Your own CC only. WoW: Forever gives addons no combat log and hides other players' casts, so XNDR counts what you and your pet cast. A teammate's stun isn't counted.
  • Traps and totems can't be counted: the game doesn't tell addons who walked into them.
  • DR steps follow the classic rules (100%, 50%, 25%, then immune) with an 18-second reset you can change in the settings.
  • If a count ever looks off, turn on /xndr debug and the chat shows what XNDR did with each cast.
