What's new

Desktop companion update — 0.3.0-beta11 (October 16, 2026)

The addon download remains 0.3.2 and is unchanged. For the new translation improvements, update the Windows desktop app from wowgling.com. No separate glossary download is needed. Existing Ollama models and translator settings are reused.

  • Expanded English–Korean glossary hints for Forever and Retail, including dungeon abbreviations and Korean player shorthand.
  • Automatic incoming translations can refer to up to 3 earlier messages from the same conversation within 90 seconds to help interpret ambiguous terms.
  • Context is kept in memory and sent only to local Ollama. Typed outgoing and manual translations remain context-free; no in-game death or combat state is read.

Addon 0.3.2 — first public release

  • Works on WoW: Forever and Retail.
  • Sends incoming chat to the free WOWGLING desktop translator (local AI, no API key).
  • In-game text follows your client language (EN/KO/ZH/FR/DE/ES).
  • Requires the WOWGLING desktop app: https://wowgling.com
