- Smooth network lag, send HITs promptly, faster paddles
- Predict a bounce off a remotely judged paddle and draw it at once; when
the real verdict arrives, the ball catches up along the real path and any
remaining offset fades out. Display only, behind the new
Smooth network lag option (on by default). - MOVE-only batches leave one send token for the next HIT/MISS/SERVE: host
HITs reached the guest 0.6s late on average at 0.25s latency, now ~0.27s. - Paddle speed 200 -> 270; bot reactions +0.12s to keep the same balance.
- tools/test_smoothing.py.

- Use actions/checkout v7 (Node 24) in the release workflow
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - Package and upload to CurseForge on version tags
BigWigs packager workflow: a v* tag builds the WoWPong zip (addon folder
only) and uploads it to CurseForge project 1718303 and a GitHub release.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - Note in the README that it's untested in-game
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - Add README
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - Add options menu, match length (first to 1/3/5/7) and rally counter
Options dialog (Display / Play / Social / General) with saved per-account
settings. Hosts pick the match length for their table (also used by
practice and Watch Bots); START, T and snapshots carry it, protocol
version 4. The board shows the live rally count and the longest rally
after a match, which stats keep vs players and per bot level.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - Add gold betting with an honor ledger
Anyone at a table can post even-money offers on a seat; someone backing
the other seat takes them. Players may only back themselves, betting
closes at Play Now (unmatched offers void), and the host referees:
first take wins, seat changes void the round, the result settles
everyone's bets, and a host vanishing mid-match voids them. The host
can hand seat 1 to a bot to referee bot-vs-bot matches.
The addon can't move gold, so results go into a per-character ledger
(lobby Ledger view, /pong ledger, Settled buttons); trading with
someone you owe pre-fills the amount and completed trades update it.
Also: low-priority messages that waited 3s may use the last send token,
so the lobby's live score no longer freezes during a match. Protocol
version 3 (T carries matchNo).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - Add minimap button, win/loss stats and invites
Step 5 of WoW Pong:- Minimap button via bundled LibDBIcon (left-click tables, right-click
stats, record in the tooltip, /pong minimap) and an addon compartment
entry, with a generated icon. - Per-character stats: record vs players (forfeits, streaks, points,
head-to-head by player id) and a separate record vs each bot level.
Lobby Stats panel and /pong stats. - /pong invite [name] (or target) over the lobby channel with an
Accept/Decline popup; accepting seats the invitee at your table.
Also: table announcements, queries and keepalives now go through a
low-priority queue so they never delay match events, late paddle moves
still apply after a match ends, and fake clients seed math.random for
reproducible test runs (WOWPONG_SEED).

- Minimap button via bundled LibDBIcon (left-click tables, right-click
- Let spectators join a match in progress
Step 4 of WoW Pong: a spectator arriving mid-match (or after it ended)
asks the host for a snapshot. The host answers at most every 2s with
one snapshot for everyone waiting; its unsent events are sealed into
numbered messages sent right before it, since the send budget is
always nearly spent mid-match. Spectators buffer match messages until
the snapshot arrives, skip what it already covers, retry, and fall
back to the next match if no snapshot comes.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - Add the lobby: table list with Sit/Watch, bot controls
Step 3 of WoW Pong: /pong opens a lobby listing tables heard on the
channel (host, players, open/ready/playing/finished with live score)
with inline Sit and Watch buttons, paging, and Open a Table. At a table
the footer offers Add/Remove Bot (host), Play Now and Leave; practice
and the bot demo stay in the lobby footer.
Hosts re-announce every 30s, on changes and after each point; lists
drop tables unheard for 75s, and tables with no match for 10 minutes
close. Protocol version 2 (T carries state and score).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - Add networked play over the hidden lobby channel
Step 2 of WoW Pong: hosts open tables, a guest joins seat 2 (or the
host adds a bot), anyone can watch. Match events travel on the
WoWPongLobby addon channel with a compact wire format, the guest syncs
its clock to the host, and moves are batched to stay under the addon
message throttle. Silent or departing players forfeit. Slash commands:
host, join, watch, bot, start, leave, tables, ping, net.
Multi-client tests route messages between fake clients with latency,
jitter and disconnects.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - Add local Pong game: deterministic sim, bots, window
Step 1 of WoW Pong: an event-driven simulation that every client can
replay identically, difficulty-based bots that play through ordinary
MOVE events, and the window with click-to-move paddles, practice vs bot
and bot-vs-bot demo. Headless tests run the real files in a fake client.
