COMPENDIUM EDITION

Finding items can be a grind—we're making it a little easier. This update introduces the first phase of our new compendium, allowing you to go from "searching for an item" to "standing in front of the source." This feature is experimental, and we are still working on refining our data, so bear with us as work continues.

A brand new Compendium user interface: A massive, searchable item and NPC database built directly into the game.

• Compendium loot tables are here! Want to know what Illidan Stormrage in the Black Temple is likely to drop? Look him up in the Compendium!
• What are your chances of getting Ashes of Al'ar from Kael'thas Sunstrider? It's in the Compendium!
• Where can I buy a Lucky Shirt?
• Search for any item to see who sells it, what drops it, or what might contain it.
• Search for an NPC to see their full inventory with price or loot table with drop percentage change.
• Navigation HUD: A new on-screen directional arrow and distance tracker. It points you exactly where you need to go without you having to constantly check your world map.
• TomTom Support: If you already use TomTom, WDIGI now plays nice! Clicking coordinates in the addon will now automatically set a TomTom "Crazy Arrow" waypoint.

Improvements & Fixes

New Features & Enhancements

• Added full boss loot tables featuring drop percentages.
• Drop rates are now broken down by rarity tiers (Common, Rare, Extremely Rare) and color-coded for quick visual tracking.
• The Compendium detail card now pulls and displays standard game item tooltip data.
• Added a "GO TO LOCATION" shortcut button to the top of vendor item lists to immediately begin pathfinding, integratig with TomTom!

Data Quality & Accuracy Fixes

• Overhauled labeling logic to clearly distinguish between Vendors (purchasable items) and Sources (mobs, chests, or world objects).
• Verified and "shielded" hundreds of critical NPC locations (such as Innkeepers and main quest mobs) to guarantee precise coordinates.
• Resolved a bug that caused certain Bind-on-Pickup (BoP) items to be excluded from Compendium search results.

Engine & UI Optimization

• Major refactor of the compendium rendering engine, completely resolving the stuck [?] Loading display text and missing results.
• Significantly reduced overall memory footprint and optimized addon script execution.
• Resolved minor interface bugs, including a display issue with drop percentage text scaling within tooltips.

Known Issues

• Some items have innacurate locations. If you see one, let us know.

How to Get Started

The Compendium feature is now enabled by default. If for some reason yours is not showing (icon on your minimap):

1. Open your Game Menu (Esc).
2. Go to Options > Addons > Where Do I Get It?
3. Check the box to Enable Search Compendium.

Developer’s Note: This update is powered by a massive database of over 1.8 million entries. We are constantly refining the data to ensure accuracy. If you find an item or NPC that’s slightly off or an item missing its source, please let us know!
