What's new
Versions v0.7.71-alpha through v0.7.90-alpha
The biggest change across these releases is that Wells Legacy Companion has evolved from a quest and character-planning addon into a broader WoW Forever progression companion, with dedicated crafting guides, Merchant's Favor catalogs, automatic recipe tracking, and an expanded talent planner.
Here's the release history grouped by feature area.

2. Quest Guides and Navigation — v0.7.78 through v0.7.80
These updates focused on Deadmines quest coverage and waypoint behavior.
The work included improving the quest instructions and /way navigation so players could more easily follow quest pickup and turn-in steps.
3. Talent Planner — v0.7.71 through v0.7.77
This development period focused on bringing the talent planner closer to the actual WoW Forever talent system, rather than relying on generic Classic WoW assumptions.
Major work included:
-
Integrating Forever-specific talent reference data.
-
Improving talent icon positioning and tree layouts.
-
Displaying talent trees side by side.
-
Supporting Primary and Secondary talent configurations.
-
Adding reset confirmation behavior.
-
Fixing planner interaction and layout issues.
4. Additional improvements across the releases
Beyond the headline features, the addon gained several quality-of-life improvements:
-
Better interface consistency: More responsive layouts, improved scrolling, and fewer overlapping controls.
-
Read-only character detection: Recipe completion is determined from profession information where supported, without modifying the character's skills or recipes.
-
Saved progress protection: Updates continue using
WellsLegacyDBto preserve existing character information. -
Source attribution: Added credit for Reptilio Plays and WoW Forever talent reference data.
-
Beta-specific safeguards: Unverified recipe data, trainer locations, and item statistics are identified rather than treated as confirmed.

A note on the version history: I checked the packaged changelog. It contains detailed entries for most of these releases, but not separate entries for v0.7.71, v0.7.75, or v0.7.77. The talent-planner summary covers the work across that period without assigning unsupported changes to those specific versions.
Overall takeaway
Across these 20 versions, we've made three major advances: a more complete Forever-specific talent planner, improved Alliance dungeon quest navigation, and a four-profession crafting system with Commerce catalogs and automated tracking.
