What's new

We Have Cookies v1.2.0

New look
- Rebuilt the window on Blizzard's standard panel style: cookie portrait, title bar, inset content area, action buttons along the bottom, and tabs along the bottom edge.
- Seven tabs: Search, Messages, Broadcast, Macros, Stats, Do Not Contact and Settings.
- Search tab: level, race and class filters and the Search button sit in the header; zone and level brackets get their own row. Search Results and Whisper History are clean lists with class-colored names, levels, colored status words, row highlighting and a clear selection. Empty lists explain what to do.
- New details panel under the lists shows the selected player (level, class, race, zone and status), the message picker, a character count, and a live preview of the exact whisper they will get.
- Search shows "Searching..." while it runs, the number of players found, and which levels the next bracket covers.
- New Messages tab: all 5 messages as cards with Save, "Use for Whispers", an unsaved-changes marker and a character count. The message in use is outlined in gold.
- Broadcast tab: Trade and General cards show whether you have joined the channel, and the Post button counts down the 60-second wait.
- Macros tab: tidier cards with Save, Highlight and an unsaved-changes marker.
- Stats tab: striped table with the message in use highlighted.
- Do Not Contact moved to its own tab with an add box and a selectable list.
- Settings tab grouped into cards.
- ElvUI support: with ElvUI installed, the window, tabs, buttons, text boxes, checkboxes, dropdowns, scroll bars and panels use ElvUI's own skinning so they match the rest of your ElvUI interface. Turn it off with "Match ElvUI style" under Settings > Appearance (needs /reload). Without ElvUI, the standard Blizzard look is used.
- Consistent fonts, buttons and panels everywhere. Scroll bars only appear when a list or text box actually needs scrolling.
- Buttons, tabs, Stats columns and Settings cards are sized from the text in game, and the layout updates when WoW's text size setting changes, so nothing overlaps or gets cut off.
- Tabs use Blizzard's standard spacing and shrink to fit if the text is very large.
- A message written with [name] instead of {name} (or any other placeholder) is flagged on the Messages tab and in the Search preview. Only {name}-style placeholders are filled in.
- Clear History and Reset Stats both ask for a second click before doing anything.
- Tidier minimap button: the cookie is cropped and masked to a circle inside the standard round border, with a hover highlight. It no longer uses a separate background texture, which some minimap button collectors drew on top of the icon.
- The addon is now split into several files by area, which makes it easier to maintain. Saved data is unchanged.

New features
- Personalized whispers: use {name}, {class}, {level}, {race} and {guild} in your recruiting message and they are filled in for each player. The character counter shows the filled-in length for the selected player.
- Up to 5 saved whisper messages, written on the Messages tab and picked on the Search tab. Your existing message becomes Message 1. Unsaved edits are kept while you switch between messages.
- Reply tracking: players who whisper you back are marked "replied" in Whisper History.
- Invite results: Whisper History shows when a player was invited, joined the guild, or declined.
- Hover a Whisper History entry to see when they were whispered, with which message, and what happened since.
- Players leave Whisper History after a set number of days (30 by default, set in Settings; 0 keeps them forever) and can then show up in Search Results again. Players who declined an invite stay until you clear history.
- Zone filter with a Current Zone button.
- Level brackets: each Search covers the next slice of your level range (for example 10-19, then 20-29) to get past WHO's 50-player limit. The addon also tells you when a search hit that limit.
- Do Not Contact list: the Do Not Contact button on the Search tab, or the Do Not Contact tab, adds players who should never appear in Search Results. It is shared by all characters and is separate from WoW's ignore list.
- Stats tab: whispers sent, replies, reply rate, joins and declines for each message, with a Reset Stats button.
- Settings tab: how long players stay in Whisper History, and an option to hide the minimap button.
- Separate Whisper History and stats for each guild. Your existing history carries over to every guild, so nobody is whispered twice.

Fixes and updates
- Updated for World of Warcraft 12.1.5 (Interface 120105).
- Fixed Lua errors on chat messages during chat lockdown (instances, encounters, Mythic+). Joining Trade or General no longer writes to the main chat window's channel list, which had tainted Blizzard's chat code. Blizzard now adds the joined channel to the chat window itself.
- Whisper and Broadcast now check for chat lockdown before sending and tell you when chat is restricted.
- A whisper that WoW blocks is no longer added to Whisper History, and a blocked broadcast no longer starts the 60-second cooldown.
- Fixed searches that got stuck on "Searching..." until the 10-second timeout when results came back very quickly.
- Fixed race-filtered searches always timing out in languages that use gendered race names, such as German and French.
- The Search button no longer turns off results for Blizzard's Who tab while it is open.
- Replaced the deprecated UIDropDownMenu menus with Blizzard's current dropdown menus.
- The race list is now built when it is opened, so Alliance characters can no longer get the Horde list during login.
- Haranir is now detected from the game data instead of a guessed race ID.
- Report no longer causes errors when nearby players' names are hidden in instances.
- The maximum level is re-checked after login.
- Escape now closes the window, and the window can no longer be dragged off-screen.
- Added an addon-list icon and an entry in the minimap addon compartment.
