WC808 BEAT SYSTEM — TBC Classic Beat Sequencer

Build complete beats inside World of Warcraft with a hands-on, WoW-native drum machine and step sequencer. WC808 provides 15 instrument lanes, 16 steps per pattern, extensive sound shaping, pattern chaining, named beat storage, and live performances shared with nearby WC808 users.

Every beat is made manually by the player. No music is generated automatically, and no external program is required during gameplay.

• Redesigned minimized performance frame with PLAY, STOP, B.C., LISTEN ON, LIST, expand, and close controls.
• B.C. replaces the former Broadcast label.

BEAT SEQUENCER

• 15 factory instrument lanes and 16 steps per pattern.
• Up to 1,000 persistent pattern slots.
• Pattern-chain playback with optional full-chain looping.
• BPM control from 40 to 240.
• Per-lane mute, solo, note tuning, volume, and centered/wide spatial mode.
• Independent 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% lane and note levels.
• Color-coded steps: green, yellow, orange, and red show note strength.
• Ratchets add up to four visible retriggers to a selected step.
• Tonal instruments support C-major note selection.
• GLIDE connects tonal notes across later steps with interpolated pitch stages.
• Seven three-position sound-shaping controls for the selected instrument.
• Per-pattern Straight, Pocket, and Swing grooves with adjustable amount.
• Per-pattern Low and High humanization options.

BEAT LIBRARY AND WORKFLOW

• Save complete named beats, including every pattern in the chain.
• Scrollable in-game LOAD BEAT browser.
• COPY CHAIN and PASTE preserve patterns, chain length, levels, notes, groove, spatial settings, and sound controls.
• Saved beats persist through WoW SavedVariables in WC808DB.
• Draggable full and minimized window positions are remembered.

WC808 AUDIO STATION

Turn on B.C. to perform for other WC808 users. Nearby compatible players can receive a Kick/Half Kick preview, while listeners receive the complete composition at its authored levels.

• Target a compatible player and press LISTEN ON to toggle full listening.
• You can also use the WC808 Listen / Stop option from supported player menus.
• Multiple listenable performers can play at the same time.
• The minimized LIST panel displays detected compatible users and current listening status.
• Compact messages transmit note, profile, volume, spatial, and ratchet events—not recorded or raw audio.
• Separate sequence-aware buffers keep simultaneous performers independent.
• Missing network steps become correctly timed rests instead of dragging later notes out of time.
• Party and raid delivery works without nameplates.
• Nearby discovery is limited to player units and nameplates currently visible to WoW.
• WC808 never places encoded addon data in SAY or YELL chat.

For synchronized playback, every performer and listener should use WC808 v3.1.5 with the same included sound library.

PROFESSIONAL SOUND PACK

WC808 includes pre-rendered, TBC-compatible 48 kHz OGG Vorbis sounds for all 15 factory instruments. WoW addons cannot synthesize arbitrary PCM audio while the game is running, so the complete sound library is packaged with the addon.

INSTALLATION

1. Copy the WC808 folder into:
   World of Warcraft\_classic_\Interface\AddOns\
2. Enable WC808 on the character-selection AddOns screen.
3. Fully restart WoW after installing or replacing sound files.
4. Type /wc808 in game to open the Beat System.

HEARING SAFETY

WC808 sounds are mastered without intentional digital clipping and include conservative headroom. Actual listening volume still depends on WoW, Windows, your audio interface or amplifier, headphones or speakers, and listening duration. Begin at a low system volume and increase gradually.
