# Waystone – know what to wear, where it drops and what you're missing
Waystone is a gear planner for **TBC Anniversary**. It shows the Best in Slot (BiS) gear for **every class and spec**, from pre-raid through Phase 5, based on the Wowhead and Icy Veins guides – right inside the game. No more alt-tabbing to a website before every raid: open the window, pick your phase, and you see exactly which items to chase, where they drop and how close your character is to the next step.
## Features
### BiS lists for every class and spec
- BiS and alternative items for all 9 classes and every spec, for **Pre-raid and Phase 1–5**.
- Choose the source: **Wowhead**, **Icy Veins**, or both side by side to see where the guides agree and where they don't.
- The current phase is selected by default, and you can browse any other phase with one click.
- Look at other classes too – handy for raid leaders and loot council.
### Character view – BiS vs. what you're wearing
- A paper-doll window with your character model and the BiS item for each slot.
- Switch to **Equipped** to see your current gear: green = already BiS, yellow = on the list but not the top pick, red = not on the list. Each slot shows what to upgrade to next.
- A progress counter (e.g. *BiS: 7 / 18*) shows how far along you are.
### Where it drops
- The **Raids & Professions** tab groups every BiS item by where you get it: raid and boss, dungeon, crafting profession, reputation, badge vendor, PvP or quest.
- Filter on one raid and see everything worth having from it – perfect before you sign up for a run.
- Tier tokens are included, so you see which token each tier piece comes from.
### Tooltips and comparison
- Item tooltips show if the item is BiS, its rank, and for which specs – plus where it drops.
- Hold **Shift** over an item to compare it with what you have equipped, including how it changes your stat caps.
- Get an alert when an item you need drops in your group.
### Stat caps
- Shows your **spell hit, melee hit, ranged hit, expertise and crit immunity** against the cap – including hit from talents and raid buffs like Totem of Wrath and Heroic/Inspiring Presence.
- You immediately see if you're under or over the cap and by how much.
### Gems, enchants and consumables
- The recommended **enchant for every slot**, the best gems by colour, cheaper alternatives, and **hit gems with how many you need to reach the cap**.
- A raid consumables list (flasks, elixirs, food, potions) that shows how many of each you are carrying in your bags.
### Talents
- Icy Veins PvE talent builds for every spec, **compared to your own talents**: green = matches, yellow = points missing, red = points spent outside the build. The footer tells you exactly what to change.
### Raid buff check
- See which buffs **your class** should hand out and who in the group is missing them.
- **Click a name to buff that player** (left-click = single buff, right-click = group buff).
- A group overview shows who is missing Fortitude, Mark of the Wild, Intellect, Spirit, Blessings, **flask/elixirs and food buff**.
- Post the missing list to raid or party chat with one click – choose buffs, flask/food or both.
- Opens automatically on ready check, and switches to a read-only view during combat.
### Custom BiS list
- Build your own list per spec and phase – start from a guide and change what you want.
- Import and export lists to share them with your guild.
### Raid helpers
- **Combat logging for Warcraft Logs**: turn it on with one click, or let it start automatically in raids (and heroic dungeons) and stop when you leave.
- **Clickable links in chat**: softres.it, Discord and other web links posted in chat become clickable, so you can copy them with Ctrl+C. `/bis links` shows the last 10 links.
## How to use
- Click the **minimap button** or type `/bis` (also `/waystone` or `/ws`) to open the window.
- Right-click the minimap button to go straight to *Raids & Professions*, Ctrl-click for the buff check.
## Notes
- BiS data is compiled from the public Wowhead and Icy Veins TBC guides. Waystone is not affiliated with Wowhead, Icy Veins or Blizzard.
- The addon never sends anything to chat on its own – posting only happens when you click a post button.
- Formerly known as GearPath.
