WayFrame

A modular, auto-sizing information bar that turns into a Mythic+ timer, raid control panel and boss bar, with class-themed art.

Wayframe

A clean, customisable information bar for World of Warcraft. One bar for everything you want to glance at, which changes to show what matters: your key timer in a Mythic+, boss health in a raid, your campfire at camp. Then it fades back.

Works on Retail and World of Warcraft: Forever.

Modules

Choose what's on the bar, drag it into order, and show each module's icon, text or both.

  • Character: Gold, Durability, Bags, XP, Time to level, Renown, Currencies
  • Getting around: Zone, Coordinates, Clock, Hearthstone (click to use it, a random hearthstone toy, or a toy you choose)
  • Keeping track: Notes, Quests, Weekly (reset timer, Great Vault progress and your own checklist), Performance
  • Group: Ready check, Pull timer
  • Retail only: Keystone, World quests, Skyriding
  • Forever only: Legacy (points earned, points to spend and your next reward, with every challenge on hover)

A bar that changes with what you're doing

  • Mythic+ timer: time, forces, chest marks and a death timeline. It can collapse Blizzard's objective tracker while it runs.
  • Mythic+ control panel: ready check, pull timer, and a check of keystone, food, flask, repairs and buffs before you start.
  • Raid: a similar control panel between pulls, a boss health bar during the fight, then ready checks, pull timers and a wipe bar showing your attempt and best health.
  • Professions: open your skills or a professions window to see every profession and its skill.
    • Click one to open it, or right-click for its action, such as Disenchant or Find Minerals.
    • See points gained this session.
    • On Forever, a reminder shows when it's time to visit a trainer.
  • Skill-up flash: the bar briefly shows MINING 150 when a skill goes up.
  • Level up: a short LEVEL UP! animation, then your new level.
  • Campsite (Forever): shows your camp benefits and how long they last, with a Sit button and buttons for your camp features and their cooldowns.

Every change fades smoothly, and each of these bars can be turned off or previewed from the settings.

Make it yours

  • Themes: Wayframe, Blizzard and Forever. The Forever theme uses the game's own window frame.
  • End caps: a large collection of painted designs for classes, specs, races, factions and zones. Many glow, shine or give off embers, frost, holy motes, arcane sparks, fireflies or wisps.
  • Styling: border colours, crests, a frozen top edge, backgrounds, and Wayframe or Blizzard icons.
  • Size: fit the bar to its content, fix it to a width, or match an action bar. A fixed or matched bar never changes size, and modules drop their text to fit.
  • Position: drag it, or use precise sliders with one-pixel steps. It works in Edit Mode and can sit over your action bars.
  • City bar: an optional separate set of modules for cities and inns.
  • Profiles: each character has its own setup, and you can switch, share and copy between them.

Getting started

Type /wf or /wayframe to open the settings, or use the AddOns menu on your minimap. /wf test previews most of the bars, for example /wf test mplus or /wf test professions.

Feedback

Wayframe is actively developed. Please report bugs or suggest ideas in the comments, and include a screenshot if you can.

About this addon
Wayframe started as a personal project, built for my own use and shared in case others find it useful. To be open about how it was made: AI tools helped create both the artwork and the code. I designed and tested it, directed every feature, and keep it maintained. It’s offered as-is, but feedback and bug reports are always welcome.
