What's new
Warrior Tanking Suite — Cumulative changelog through 4.6.6
HUD AND CUSTOMIZATION
- Rebuilt the settings interface around HUD, Abilities and Alerts & sound, with a consistent Protection Warrior theme and English labels.
- Replaced fixed layout presets with configurable ability bars and free placement of individual icons.
- Added support for up to eight independently movable bars, each with its own icon size and icons-per-row setting.
- Added a prominent Add ability bar button to the Unlock HUD toolbar.
- Fixed phantom Edit-mode handles and drop zones for bars that had not been created.
- Icons attach automatically when dropped onto a bar or linked icon; dropping outside the bars keeps them free. Shift is no longer required.
- Improved edit-mode locking, saved positions, scaling and handling of combat transitions.
- Added separate in-combat and out-of-combat opacity, including hiding the HUD outside combat.
- Added a continuous HUD text-size slider, independent font choices and per-element appearance controls.
- Replaced the old full-HUD preview footer with focused resource previews and individual alert/audio previews.
ABILITIES AND TIMERS
- Added Rend and Victory Rush tracking during development; the current toolkit supports 20 abilities.
- Added an optional Sunder Armor stack counter and a five-stack voice announcement.
- Reworked buff and debuff durations to use current aura data and supported native Blizzard displays during restrictions.
- Removed stale last-known countdowns as substitutes for live aura timers.
- Separated active aura duration from the ability cooldown so both can be displayed at once.
- Improved aura refreshes, removals, target switching, cooldown/recharge handling and long countdown precision.
- Distinguished the global cooldown from personal ability cooldowns to avoid false ready announcements.
ALERTS AND AUDIO
- Added configurable on-screen alerts with eight animations, independent positioning and per-ability styles.
- Improved Revenge usability checks and rearming between opportunities; added optional repeated reminders with an interval slider.
- Added English Refresh voices for Battle Shout, Demoralizing Shout, Thunder Clap, Sunder Armor and Rend, plus "Sunder full!", using the established warrior voice.
- Added a themed sound-effect library and clearer global/per-ability audio controls, volume settings and Play buttons.
- Moved the most useful audio switches near the top of Alerts & sound.
- Replaced the Before expiration setting with native aura-removal alerts and removed its timing controls.
- Fixed duplicate queued reminders and rechecked queued cues before playback.
- Cancel addon-owned queued target messages when the target dies, disappears, becomes friendly or changes. Cancel queued missing-debuff warnings after reapplication.
- Preserve personal buff alerts and manual sound previews during target cleanup.
RAGE, THREAT AND ARTWORK
- Added animated rage materials and configurable resource dimensions; retained the adjustable reserve marker.
- Added selected-target threat presentation, rival information and independent threat styling.
- Added six new threat textures: Shield Iron, Riveted Plates, Satin Gunmetal, Shield Bronze, Blackened Chainmail and Black Armor.
- Added Solid Steel, Solid Gold and Solid Slate alternatives.
- Fixed an error when selecting a solid threat color; all 16 threat styles are now covered by HUD and resource-preview regression checks.
- Preserved the existing artwork and voices throughout the recent fixes and additions.
STABILITY AND DIAGNOSTICS
- Fixed a startup regression that could prevent the HUD and minimap button from appearing.
- Added safeguards around incomplete initialization and deferred work during combat restrictions.
- Guarded combat-log access against documented client restrictions that could cause blocked-action reports.
- Improved /wts debug and added /wts auras diagnostics for timer setup problems.
- Preserved existing mute choices and supported settings migrations across updates.
VALIDATION AND KNOWN LIMITS
Version 4.6.6 passed 315 automated local behavior checks. Installed files and the release archive were verified against the tested source. Live-client rendering, combat behavior and native sound timing remain unverified.
Native aura-removal voices intentionally remain active in combat. They also react to early removal and may sound when a debuffed target dies. Filtering of addon-owned queued messages does not change that native behavior.
