War Within Rare Pins is a lightweight World of Warcraft Retail addon that displays rare enemies from The War Within directly on the world map.

The addon provides clear map pins, detailed rare-specific loot tooltips, collection tracking, Warbound reward information, and automatic daily kill status.

Collection Status:

Supported collectible rewards are displayed with collection status:

- Green — already collected
- Red — not collected

Collectible rewards are displayed before regular equipment and other drops.

Supported collectible types include:

1. Mount
2. Pet
3. Toy
4. Cosmetic
5. Other drops

Warbound Rewards:

Warbound and Bind-to-Account equipment tokens are displayed in a simplified and consistent format.

Instead of showing several visually different token qualities, supported rewards are grouped by their actual purpose.

Warbound gear

This system is used in supported zones such as Undermine and other areas containing similar Warbound equipment rewards.

Rare Loot:

Each rare tooltip contains a curated list of notable rewards.

The addon focuses on useful and recognizable loot such as mounts, pets, toys, cosmetics, weapons, armor, trinkets, rings, necklaces, and Warbound equipment.

Generic crafting reagents, vendor trash, common consumables, and unrelated world drops are intentionally excluded.

Daily Kill Tracking:

Each rare displays one of the following statuses:

- Not killed today
- Killed today

Kill status is saved separately for each character and automatically resets after the daily reset.

A rare is marked as killed only when your character actually tags it or enters combat with it.

Simply approaching, targeting, mousing over, or seeing an already dead rare will not mark it as killed.

Additional Information:

Some enemies are connected to rotating events, shared encounters, or changing spawn locations.

Where appropriate, the addon uses one representative pin instead of placing several overlapping markers in the same area.
