What's new

Wanderer 0.36.0

New

  • A closer look: hold Shift over a player and the label shows the branch they play, with its role, and the other branches they put points in (a fire mage with a little frost), from Wanderer's knowledge of every class, their item level and their rank in their guild, after a discreet inspection out of combat (an option on the label's content page).
  • The label shows the spell a character is casting or channelling, with its progress in the game's colors, and the same for whoever it is looking at.
  • Your group in the world: names being hidden, each member's name appears small over their head, in the game's color for your group (an option on the names page).
  • Dungeons and raids, new names choice "In a group": your companions named, never you, the health bars stay your own choice in the game's options.
  • Private messages: who the person is under their name (level, race, class, guild, zone, online or not, friend), from what the game knows, and a click on them for the game's actions: look them up (/who), invite, add as friend, ignore; the same in the right click menu of the list.
  • Private messages read as a conversation: bubbles in the game's tooltip frame, theirs on the left, yours on the right in gold (a little faded until the game confirms them), the hour between moments apart and under the mouse.
  • Stacked and Clean layouts: your group in the game's raid-style frames at the top left, wide enough for the names, sorted by role, in class colors; the raid in the same place.
  • Raid markers under the mouse (a key to choose in Key Bindings > Wanderer): held over an enemy, the game's eight symbols open in a wheel around the cursor, let go over one to set it without targeting; around them, out of a fight, the ground markers (a click, then the ground). In a group, leader or assistant in a raid.
  • Wanderer's keys right in its options (home page), with the game's own key binding rows.
  • The conversations kept: each chat tab keeps its last lines, with its channels, after a reload and from one session to the next, for each character; they come back a little dimmed under a quiet line (an option of the chat).
  • A Wanderer chat tab in diagnostic mode: everything Wanderer writes goes there, nothing else, ready to copy; /wanderer clear empties the tab shown.
  • Over your group's frames, the game's tooltip adds the branch, role and item level of the players already inspected.
  • Your portrait shows Wanderer's label (with the closer look, no Shift needed) instead of the game's tooltip; no tooltip over your target's portrait anymore (its auras keep theirs). Two options of the tooltips page.
  • The label stays on your target while you hover nothing else, above its head (gone when it leaves the screen, back when it returns), and follows the mouse again as soon as you hover something; an option of the label brings back the former way.
  • Reminders, a part of the travel journal: what not to forget on the way. Write a line and Enter, a click ticks it (done ones greyed at the bottom) and the journal's chronicle keeps it, a right click or the cross removes it; one list per character, kept between sessions (its key, /wanderer todo, the minimap menu or the journal's own button).

Changed

  • The minimap menu ordered by use: messages, reminders and journal first, then the tools of the moment, the settings, the help.
  • Dungeons and raids use "In a group" from now on, once for every profile that had "Balanced" or "Show everything" there.

Fixed

  • A quest offered during a fight no longer stays stuck: in a fight the game's own windows answer by themselves, and conversation scenes come back once it is over and the window closed.
  • Text no longer overflows the label on long lines (reputation, group).
  • Texts reviewed in every language: the welcome screen's tip on the minimap button (left click opens the menu), one name for the journal in Russian, no more long dashes.
  • In dungeons, Wanderer no longer touches the health bars at all: the enemies' were faded out of a fight.
