Veto_1.5.0.zip
What's new
1.5.0 - 2026-10-20
Added
- Everyone sees whose turn it is. The alert now has a line showing who's on interrupt duty for that cast - "Your turn", "Turn: Name", or "Your turn - but your interrupt is on cooldown". Every Veto user in the group sees the same name, so you know who's kicking without calling it out.
- The rotation only includes people who actually have Veto. Before, the turn could land on a groupmate without the addon, so nobody got the full alert for that cast. Veto now finds the other Veto users with a tiny addon message when the group changes or you zone in - out of combat, since Blizzard blocks addon messages during boss fights and Mythic+ runs. The list is kept for the rest of the session. Names are compared as Name-Realm, so cross-realm groups agree on the order too.
- The options panel lists the Veto users in your group.
Changed
- Only interruptible casts are shown - also when the game keeps that a secret. In patch 12.x the game often hides whether a cast can be interrupted. Veto used to assume "yes" in that case and alert on everything. Now the secret value goes straight to the game's own
SetAlphaFromBoolean, which shows or hides the alert itself - Veto never reads the value, so there are no errors. - Sound only plays when Veto knows for sure the cast can be interrupted. For casts where that's secret you get the visual alert only - there is no way for an addon to play a sound based on a secret value.
- The interruptible flag isn't always correct at the moment a cast starts, so Veto re-checks it shortly after the cast starts and on
UNIT_SPELLCAST_DELAYED/UNIT_SPELLCAST_CHANNEL_UPDATE. An alert that started out wrong now corrects itself. - The progress bar animates again on casts with secret timing - the game animates it itself through
SetTimerDuration, with no Lua math needed. - The interrupt button now casts at your focus if that's a living enemy, otherwise at your target. The macro can't be changed per cast during combat anymore (see the fix below).
Fixed
- The interrupt button didn't work in combat. Veto was showing, hiding and re-targeting the secure button mid-fight, which Blizzard blocks. The button is now set up once out of combat, and during combat only its icon fades in and out.
- After
/veto lockthe interrupt button was no longer clickable. /veto unlockduring combat now tells you to wait until the fight is over, instead of silently failing.- A
/reloadduring combat no longer errors when it tries to reposition the buttons. - Spell names that the game keeps secret are now shown correctly instead of causing an error.
