# Venom Counter

A small on-screen counter for **The Coiled Huntress** fishing rod. It shows how much **Venom** the rod has stored, so you don't have to keep opening the tooltip.

Fishing in the waters of The Coiled Isle siphons Venom into the rod, and you can hand it to Seasage Polo to make Coiled Filament. Venom Counter shows the current amount on screen and updates it after every catch.

## Features

- **Live Venom count** read straight from the rod's tooltip, so it always matches what the game shows
- **Updates automatically** after each catch, with a small pulse and a "+N" popup when Venom goes up
- **Only shows while fishing:** by default the frame appears only while the *Fishing For Attention* buff is active
- **Movable and scalable:** unlock it, drag it anywhere and set the scale you like
- **Clean look:** gold-bordered frame with the rod's icon and a big green number
- **Rod tooltip on hover**
- Position and settings are saved per account

## Settings

Open **Esc → Options → AddOns → Venom Counter**, or type `/venom`.

| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Show counter | Turns the frame on or off |
| Only with Fishing For Attention | Shows the frame only while the buff is active |
| Hide without rod | Hides the frame when The Coiled Huntress isn't equipped |
| Lock frame | Uncheck to drag the frame. While unlocked, it is always visible |
| Scale | Frame size from 0.5 to 3 |
| Position → Reset | Moves the frame back to its default spot |

## Commands

- `/venom` or `/vc` opens the settings
- `/venom debug` prints what the addon sees (buff status and the rod's tooltip lines). Please include this output in bug reports

## Notes

- Requires **The Coiled Huntress** to be equipped.
- The buff is detected by its English name, *Fishing For Attention*. If your client shows it under a different name, please open an issue with your `/venom debug` output.
