VaultPlanner tracks your Great Vault progress across every character you play, in one window — so you can see at a glance which alts have rewards waiting, who still has slots to fill, and how long until the next weekly reset.
A standalone retail addon for The War Within / Midnight (12.0+). Native Lua, no library dependencies.
What it shows: every character you've logged in on appears as a row with their class icon, equipped item level, and three vault tracks — Raid, Mythic+, and World/Delve. Locked slots show progress like *4/8*; filled slots show the difficulty plus reward item level, e.g. *"Mythic · 285"* or *"+16 · 285"*. The list sorts by filled-slot count so characters closest to a vault reward (or with rewards already waiting) bubble to the top.
Persistent state across alts: each row carries a **Vault ready** badge in cyan when there's a reward to collect, and a green **Vault claimed** badge once you've picked one. Both states survive logout and auto-clear at the next weekly reset, so you can log into any alt and instantly tell which characters you still need to do this week.
How the vault state stays accurate: claim status is only trusted while the Great Vault frame is actually open — Blizzard's `C_WeeklyRewards` API clears its cached state when the vault closes, which would otherwise look like a phantom claim. Open the vault on each character once per week to seed the state; after that the badges are saved and reliable.
Auto-scans run on login, on `WEEKLY_REWARDS_UPDATE`, after Mythic+ completion, and on raid boss kills. There's a manual `Refresh` button in the title bar if you want it.
Slash commands: `/vault` or `/vp` to open the window, `/vp scan` to force a re-scan, `/vp list` to print all known characters to chat, `/vp remove Name-Realm` to delete a character record.
Saved data lives in `VaultPlannerDB` (per-account SavedVariables, keyed by Name-Realm).
