Description
VanillaUI
I missed the old action bar, so I rebuilt it.
This puts the classic bar layout and button art back on retail WoW. The stacked
arrangement with the bonus row sitting above the main bar, your XP and honour and
reputation bars tucked into the gap between them, the gryphons on either end, and
the two right hand bars standing as vertical columns at the edge of the screen.
Classic button art on everything, including the pressed and highlighted states.
It does bars, and only bars. Your chat frame, unit frames, buffs, tooltips and
minimap are all left completely alone. If you want classic unit frames too, grab
an addon made for that, this one stays out of its way.
There is one exception and I want to be upfront about it. The Escape menu gets
scaled to 0.75, because it is drawn at a fixed size and looks huge once the rest
of your UI is sitting at classic proportions. That is just that one frame's own
scale, so your global UI scale is untouched and nothing else moves. If you would
rather keep it full size, type /vui menu size 1 and it goes back.
A few other things worth mentioning. The micro menu and bag bar are packed to fit
inside the bar's original 1024 pixel width, since retail has more micro buttons
and one more bag than classic ever did. The extra bag needed somewhere to live,
so there is a sixth bag well cloned from the bar art's own five. The page up and
down arrows and the page number sit in the little recesses the art already has
for them.
Commands
/vui status tells you which modules are applied and whether anything failed
/vui endcap lets you pick gryphon, lion, or auto
/vui menu size takes a number from 0.4 to 1.5 for the Escape menu
Housing did not exist back in classic and Blizzard ships no classic glyph for it,
so I drew one myself to match the rest of the row. Everything else is loaded
straight from the game client, so it inherits whatever Blizzard ships.
One warning. Do not run this next to another addon that reskins the action bars.
ClassicUI, Bartender4, Dominos, ElvUI and Tukui all take over the same frames and
will fight it for them. If one of those is loaded VanillaUI will mention it once
when you log in, but it will not disable anything for you.
