Description
OVERVIEW:
Type /ubib to open
Simple Use Case:
This mod allows you to use the best consumable in your bag with a keybind or macro.
This can be food, drink, potions, bandages, or other items.
For example, if you have several different food items in your bag, this mod can pick the one with that gives
the most health back.
Alternatively, you can choose to use the items with the most or least quantity, and if you wish, still prioritise conjured items.
Additionally, it can create a macro so you have a visual of what consumable is currently being used (and how many you have left). The macro icon and count automatically updates.
It does this based on customizable priority lists. The mod scans your bag for list items, and then
updates the functionality of the addon and macros accordingly.
There are predefined default lists for food, water, potions, bandages, but you can create your own custom list/table.
Hooks can be used to automatically add item types to a list.
There is a smart consume option to not use food/drink etc at full health.
Advanced:
Since the addon is essentially a table list of items it can become pretty powerful when tinkering with different usage configurations.
There is a global script function that uses macro syntax to change how an item may be used or consumed. For example, /use [item] can be replaced with /eq [item] to equip an item if you have a equipment item in the table row.
There are also options for macro conditions for each row. For example, only use a swim speed potion while swimming...
You can also group tables/list to one keybind or macro - i.e you can eat and drink the best priority food/water in one action, and with smart consume you wont waste any food/water if you are at full health/mana.
Getting the hang of advanced configuration opens up other use cases.
Advanced Use Cases:
I use this to
- Make gear sets and equip them in one keybind or click
- manage trinket usage (like the TrinketMenu addon) - recognises item cds and auto-equips
- Auto add unwanted greens to a list and disenchant with one click - similarly for prospecting, milling etc
- Auto sell list for unwanted items such as Fish Oil or gear types you can use etc
- Add junkboxes to a list for one click lockpicking
- A table/list for click to open items such as clams etc- one button to open
- In Forever, auto add mage scrolls to a table for easy one button dechipering (/cast comprehend scroll
/use [item]) - One click hunter pet feeding
- Mount lists with random feature (properly no longer usable in Forever due to mounts being moved to their own UI)
- Rogue poisons list
- and more...
HOW THE GUI WORKS:
• Five predefined consumable tables (food/drink/hpots/mpots/bandages)
• Each tab is its own table that has its own priority order
• Drag & drop items to reorder (top = used first)
• Direct keybinds to use items from your current priority
• Macros update automatically as items change
• Global and per row scripting. ie.bandages macro includes a handy mouseover feature
KEYBINDS:
• Direct Keybind - Uses the item with your priority from current tab (doesnt work in combat due to Blizzard's taint description)
SORTING OPTIONS:
There are many different sorting options to prioritise which item in a table/list is used. For example:
• Manual - Drag items to your preferred order
• Quantity - Prioritize items with Most/Least count (you can still set conjured items to have priority)
• By Value - Sort by restoration power (High/Low)
TIPS:
- Settings are per-tab - each consumable type acts independently.
- Use "All at once" order type when equipping a gearset
- Use /ubib to open the interface
I understand that the predefined food and drink table entries are not entirely complete and remain a WIP. I'd
appreciate anyone sending me their own table lists should they fill them (food list is stored in
foods.lua for example).
Feedback is always appreciated. Please report any bugs.
