Welcome to the Classic+ Waiting Room

Let’s be real for a second. We know what this is. We’re all just pacing around the Classic+ waiting room, trying to find new ways to make a 20-year-old game terrify us again.

Ultra Hardcore Pro Max (UHCPM) isn't here to be your forever-UI. It’s a fun, cinematic, and deeply punishing survival overhaul designed to make you sweat. I built it specifically to pair with Hardcore gaming and is best played without other addons, stripping away the spreadsheets, the safety nets, and the god's-eye camera. It forces you to actually live in Azeroth until you inevitably die in a cave because you forgot to bring a lantern.

How it ruins your life:

First off, the camera is permanently bolted over your right shoulder. You can't just left-click pan to magically see the Defias rogue sneaking up behind you anymore—if you want to look around, you have to physically turn your character.

We also scorched the earth with the UI. The minimap is dead. Action bar art, the action bars themselves while in combat, floating combat text are all gone.

For health, we threw out the standard bars and brought in physical, Zelda- or Minecraft-style hearts. If you're topped off and out of combat, the UI fades away completely so you can just take in the world. When your health drops below 50%, the panic engine kicks in. The screen throbs with a blood-red vignette, the game's audio muffles out, and the sound of your own heartbeat takes over.

Oh, and caves are actually dark now. So is Duskwood. If you walk into a mine or a crypt, your screen will suffocate in darkness unless you physically equip a torch, lantern, or wand to light your way. Even grouping is brutal -- your party frames are hidden by default, and you'll only see your teammates' health pop up when they drop below 50% and actually need triage.

Tweaking your settings:

If you want to adjust exactly how miserable you are, you don't need to type any weird slash commands. Just hit Esc > Options > AddOns > Ultra Hardcore Pro Max. From there, you can turn off your chat box, toggle the muffled audio, disable the error speech, and set it up exactly how you want.

Installation:

Download the latest release.

Extract the UHCPM folder into your World of Warcraft directory: classic_era\Interface\AddOns\

Ensure the addon is enabled, load in, and try not to panic.
