Ubermoc UI

Fade your whole interface automatically, and control every piece of it separately.

Ubermoc UI

Fade or hide individual parts of your interface depending on what you are doing, and take control of your nameplates: size, name-only mode with class colours (reaction colours for NPCs) and a health gradient, quest/elite/rare icons, and a cleaner minimap with an XP bar and an addon button container.

Alpha release. Built for WoW: Forever (interface 16001 / 120105). Still being tested, so please report bugs.

Fade the interface by situation

Open the settings and pick from a scrollable list of more than 60 UI elements: the minimap and each of its parts, quest tracker, action bars, every unit frame (player, pet, target, focus, boss, arena, party, raid), class resources, buffs and debuffs, cast bar, cooldown manager, damage meter, talking head, error messages, zone banner, alerts, loot windows, chat, nameplates and more.

For each element, tick the situations where it should fade and set an opacity for each:

Talking to an NPC

In combat

Health not full

Resource not full (mana, rage, focus, energy, essence)

Mounted or traveling

Moving

In an instance

In a group

Has a target

In a rested area

Otherwise (idle)

The first active situation in the list that you set a value for wins. Elements you do not set up stay at 100%. Each element also has "Always hide". Copy and Paste moves one element's whole setup onto another.

Nameplates

A dedicated page with a live preview, separate settings for enemy and friendly nameplates, and every change applies instantly (no reload).

Size: width and height of the plate, and the cast bar lines up with it.

Look: hide the name or health bar, set the name text size and cast bar height, and make the plate bigger when it is your target or under your mouse.

Name-only mode: no health bar, just the name coloured by class, with a health gradient (the missing health turns white from the right), the health percent where you want it (reaction colour, green / yellow / red by health, class colour or white), and a level square you can move, resize or turn off. Works on friendly and enemy plates.

Icons (enemy): quest icon with objective progress like 1/5, elite and rare icons, each with its own size, position and offsets.

Show / hide: show or hide enemy, friendly and friendly NPC nameplates, and make friendly plates click-through.

Nameplates can also be faded by situation like any other element.

Minimap

A dedicated Minimap page to clean up the map.

Experience bar: turns the zone name banner into a mini XP bar that fills with dark blue, shows your percentage in the middle and a thin white line where your rested XP reaches. Hover for exact numbers. At max level the normal zone name returns.

Location name: the zone name moves to the bottom of the map while the XP bar is on, in the usual zone colours.

Time and coordinates: move them inside the minimap, top or bottom, left, centre or right, with fine offsets. They get an outline and dark backing so they stay readable.

Addon button container: one small button gathers your addon minimap buttons and flies them out when clicked. Choose the corner, direction, size and layout.

Square minimap: addon buttons line up on the square's edge.

Info bar: an optional bar on any side of the minimap (bottom, top, left or right) showing your gold, bag space and durability, plus optional FPS and latency text. The map border thickness is adjustable.

Rings, interact and controller cursor

Built for controller play.

Pet ring and utility ring: hold a key and a round menu pops up. Push the left stick toward an entry and let go to use it (or click with the mouse). The pet ring holds your pet commands; the utility ring holds your own spells, items and macros, plus the extra action button and quest items. Ring keys can be a combination of gamepad buttons, like LB + A.

Interact key: walk up to an NPC, mailbox or object and press one key to use what you are facing. Mailboxes and other objects show only the interaction icon, and friendly NPCs you can talk to get a small white chat bubble over their head.

Interface cursor: when a vendor, mail, quest, gossip or bank window opens, a pointer appears on a button. D-pad moves it, A clicks, X right-clicks, B closes. Tooltips show as you move, and the D-pad scrolls lists.

Dark mode

A dedicated Dark mode page that tints WoW's own interface darker, including borders, backgrounds, icons and artwork. Every element has its own switch and darkness slider (0 to 100%), plus a "Darkness for all" slider and All on / All off buttons. Covers action buttons and bar art, player/target/focus frames, minimap, menu and bag bar, chat tabs, tooltips, character and spellbook, bags, bank, map, vendors and mail, quest and gossip windows, social and journals, game menu and the objective tracker.

Chat

Hide or fade the chat tabs, fade chat windows, reveal the chat when a message arrives, and set a timer so each chat line fades out on its own.

Fade timing

Separate fade in and fade out times, and a wait before fading out.

Miscellaneous

Square minimap (see the Minimap page), and tooltips at your cursor.

Minimap button: left-click opens settings, right-click turns the addon on or off.

Auto-sell grey items and auto-repair (with optional guild funds) when you open a vendor.

A Reload UI button next to Close.

Controller friendly

Large buttons and sliders with - / + steps, key bindings (Reveal UI hold / toggle, Turn on/off, Interface cursor), and mouseover reveal for mouse users.

Debug page

A Debug page with buttons that run the checks for you (health and mana, nameplate inspect, missing frames, clear chat fading) and show the results in a box, so you do not need to type commands.

Commands

/ubermoc open settings; /ubermoc nameplates, chat, timing, mm, rings, interact, dark, debug page open those pages

/ubermoc on, off, toggle, reveal

/ubermoc plate inspect the nameplate of your target

/ubermoc frames list frames your client does not have; /ubermoc find <text>, /ubermoc inspect <frame>

/ubermoc clearchat reset chat fading if chat misbehaves

/ubring check or open the pet ring (/ubring util for the utility ring)

Aliases: /ubermocui, /uberui, /uifade

Notes

To reposition interface elements, use WoW's Edit Mode. Ubermoc UI only changes opacity and the nameplate look.

Always hide makes an element fully transparent; it can still be clicked.

A part inside another element cannot be brighter than the element it sits in.

WoW hides health and resource values from addons in some situations. Ubermoc UI reads them through WoW's own percent values instead, so Health not full and Resource not full keep working.

Some elements only exist for certain classes or in instances, and stay greyed out until then.
