Tripwire detects enemy players around you, tracks everything you learn about them, and turns your guild and faction into a rapid-response force. Built natively for WoW Classic Anniversary (2.5.6) — no legacy code, MIT licensed, actively maintained.

🕸️ Detection (since v0.1)

Picks up hostile players from the combat log (both attackers and victims of any combat event), nameplates, target, and mouseover — if they act anywhere near you, they're on your list.
Stealth warnings: Stealth, Prowl, or Vanish used nearby triggers a distinct sound and an on-screen callout — by spell id, so it works in every locale.
Zone-aware: separate toggles for unflagged world play, battlegrounds/ arenas, and sanctuaries.

📋 The nearby list (since v0.1, polished v0.2)

Class-colored bars with name and level; entries dim when the enemy hasn't been seen recently and expire automatically (timeouts configurable).
Left-click a bar: target the player AND put a raid marker on them (marker configurable, Star by default).
Shift-click: toggle KOS. Ctrl-click: ignore. Right-click: full menu (KOS, reason, ignore, clear, lock).
Hover tooltip: class, race, level, first/last seen, encounter count, KOS reason.
Resizable (drag the corner grip), movable, lockable, scrollable, scalable; close it with the X — it reopens by itself when a KOS enemy shows up.
Rich tracking memory per character with automatic pruning (never bloats your SavedVariables).

💀 Kill-on-sight (since v0.1, glow v0.2, guild sync v0.6)

Flag any player KOS with an optional reason; KOS entries sort to the top, get a pulsing red border, a red ★, their own alert sound, and the window auto-opens when they're detected.
Your guild hunts together (v0.6): KOS lists sync automatically between guildmates running Tripwire. See how many lists an enemy is on, everyone's reasons combined, and exactly which guildie flagged them. Your own list is always yours — guild data merges alongside it, never over it.

📖 Player browser (since v0.6)

A searchable, sortable ledger of everyone you've met: class, wins and losses as independent sortable columns, KOS count and provenance, last-seen dates. A totals line up top sums your wins and losses across everyone. Alternating row shading for readability. One click on the list button (or /tw list); shift-click any row to flag them.

☠️ Death ledger (since v0.7, guild-wide v0.9)

Every PvP death is remembered: when, where (zone + coordinates), who killed you, and who else was there watching. Dedicated Deaths tab in the browser — sortable, searchable, shift-click to KOS the killer. Deaths and kills feed the W/L score, so your ledger fills itself.
Auto-KOS: anyone who kills you 5 times (configurable) lands on your KOS list by himself.

⚔️ Avenge your guild (since v0.9)

The guild's dead are not forgotten. Every guildmate's PvP death joins a shared bounty board — killer, victim, place, date. Kill someone with open bounties and the whole guild hears it: "X has avenged Y's death from 2026-07-17."

Priority targets flash yellow in the nearby list — you'll know the moment a wanted player walks into range.
Skull pins on the map mark where every unavenged death happened.
The Avengers highscore ranks who has avenged the most guildies.
You can never avenge your own death — bring a friend.
New members bring their death history; leavers' bounties retire. The hit list grows and shrinks organically.

💰 Bounty board (since v0.10)

Put gold on their heads. Create guild bounties on a specific player, an entire enemy guild, or any max-level class — set the reward per kill and seed the pool.

The whole guild funds the hunt: anyone can donate into any bounty or post their own. Repeatable claims draw the pool down until it runs dry.
Claims are automatic — Tripwire detects the kill and announces it to the guild. One kill can complete several bounties at once.
Receipts for everything: claims go Unpaid → Paid → Received, each step attested by the right person and visible guild-wide. A red badge reminds you when you owe gold (or a confirmation).
Tripwire never touches your gold — it's the ledger and referee; you hand over the winnings by trade or mail like the honorable outlaw you are. Donations into a pool carry the same Sent → Received receipt handshake, so funders and pool owners both have a public record.

🔥 Kill streaks (since v0.11)

Chain PvP kills without dying and your guild sees the run climb — "X is on a 5 kill streak!" — and when someone finally drops you, they get the callout: "Y ended X's 5 kill streak." Only PvP counts; a PvP death resets the streak.

📡 Group radar (since v0.9)

Party and raid members pool their detections into one net — what any of you sees, all of you see, with reporter positions pinned on the map.
KOS import/export strings let allied guilds share hit lists (/tw export).
Minimap button with live nearby + bounty counts.

🔊 Alerts (since v0.1, catalog v0.2)

Independent sounds for new enemy / KOS enemy / stealth, chosen from ~20 built-in game sounds — every pick previews instantly in the options.
On-screen fade warnings for the calls that matter.
Optional chat announces (self, party, or guild), throttled, KOS-only mode.

🚨 Rally — call for backup (since v0.3)

Getting camped? One click summons the cavalry.

The red Rally button (or /tw rally) broadcasts your position to every same-faction Tripwire user in your guild — and optionally realm-wide.
Helpers get a sound, an on-screen call leading with your zone and map coordinates, and a "Help them" button. One click and the group forms itself: the caller auto-invites, helpers auto-accept — and the party converts to a raid when it fills (v0.5).
TomTom support (v0.5): got TomTom? Clicking Help points the crazy arrow straight at the caller.
Layer-safe by design (v0.5): the caller is always the inviter and leader, so helpers are pulled onto the caller's layer — where the fight actually is — never the reverse.
Fully consent-based — nothing happens on either side without an explicit click: calling shows a confirmation of exactly what will be broadcast (v0.4), and helpers choose Help / Ignore / Silence for session per call. Don't want calls at all? One toggle opts you out (v0.4). Calls expire after 5 minutes; 60-second cooldown.
