What's new

Tradeskill Queue v0.10.0

See what your crafts cost, what they could earn, and what your entire queue is worth. This release adds crafting economics, an Auction House companion, and native skill-up indicators, with a cleaner interface throughout.

Includes all changes since v0.5.1.

Crafting costs and estimated profit

  • Cost and Profit columns are now built into both lists. Recipes show estimates for one craft; queued entries show estimates for their remaining batch. Recipes that produce multiple items include their full output quantity.
  • Queue totals at a glance: larger, framed cards show material cost and estimated profit, with centered labels and amounts.
  • Clear currency formatting: gold, silver, and copper have distinct colors. A green + marks estimated gains, while a red − marks losses.
  • Queue-aware calculations: earlier crafts can supply materials for later steps. Smelting bars and then using them in another recipe does not count those bars twice; only surplus outputs contribute to the queue's final sale value.

How pricing works

  • Mats cost (AH) uses the lowest known purchasable Auction House price. Materials already in your bags retain their AH value; vendor purchase prices are not used.
  • Sell Price (AH) applies to unbound and Bind on Equip outputs, with auction commission already deducted. Commission defaults to 5% and can be adjusted in the addon options.
  • Sell Price (Vendor) applies to other known binding types and uses the item's actual vendor sell value, without auction commission.
  • Missing prices stay unknown. Older observations and quantities exceeding the available stock at the lowest price are flagged, and timestamps show how current the estimates are.

New Prices & Profit window

Open the dedicated gold-coin Prices & Profit button beside History and Clear, or use /tsq prices.

  • Switch between Remaining Queue and Selected Recipe. The recipe view uses your entered craft quantity; the queue view accounts for materials produced by earlier steps.
  • Materials to source presents item names, quantities, AH unit prices, and total costs in an aligned table.
  • Outputs available to sell lists quantities, sale destination, net unit values, and net totals in a matching table.
  • Centered overview cards summarize material cost, sale proceeds, and profit. A separate Help panel explains the calculations without crowding the tables.

New Auction House scan companion

A dedicated panel now opens beside the Auction House, explaining how fresh prices improve your crafting estimates.

  • Scan AH prices starts a scan on demand. Queued items are checked first, followed by items from professions you have opened.
  • A progress bar, item counter, status messages, and last-scan timestamp keep you informed. The scan button becomes Cancel scan while running.
  • The panel follows the Auction House when moved and closes with it. Closing the companion cancels its active scan and dismisses it until your next visit.
  • Your own Auction House searches take priority and stop the addon scan. Completed price observations are retained when scanning stops.
  • Prices and captured recipe details are saved per character, so estimates remain available after leaving the Auction House or switching professions.

Native skill-up indicators

The recipe list now displays Blizzard's skill-up chevrons before each item icon:

  • Orange, three chevrons: high skill-up likelihood.
  • Yellow, two chevrons: medium likelihood.
  • Green, one chevron: low likelihood.

Indicators update as your profession skill changes. Recipes that cannot award skill points leave the column blank; unknown difficulty is not guessed.

Interface polish and reliability

  • Widened the main window for the new price columns and adjusted spacing around the queue summaries and action buttons. New panels support both Default and EllesmereUI skins.
  • Added cost, sale, and profit breakdowns to recipe and queue tooltips. Supporting notes are smaller and muted, with less repeated explanatory text.
  • Fixed inconsistent material-name and quantity font sizes caused by reused tooltip lines.
  • Improved grouped-auction unit pricing, recipe-output compatibility, delayed item-data handling, and recovery of cached recipe details.
  • Improved handling of incomplete scans, item variants, and missing prices. Your own auction listings can inform sale estimates but are excluded from material purchase quotes.
  • Expanded automated coverage to 938 passing checks across 204 scenarios.

Crafting behavior

The experimental Automation / Auto-continue option has been removed. Each recipe batch starts through Craft Next, its keybinding, or a click. The game still repeats the requested crafts within that batch. Older saved automation settings no longer enable automatic starts.

Getting started after updating

  1. Install the update and /reload.
  2. Open the professions you want to price so their recipe details can be captured.
  3. Visit the Auction House and click Scan AH prices in the new companion panel.
  4. Check the list columns or open Prices & Profit to review your crafting plan.

Existing queues and crafting history are retained. Prices are estimates from saved observations; deposits, failed-auction costs, and whether an item will sell are not included.
