Trade Route changelog
0.3.5
- Fixed "error in refresh ... calling 'IsShown' on bad self (Attempt to access forbidden object)" when opening a profession. While looking for the profession tabs, Trade Route checked a protected Blizzard frame that addons aren't allowed to touch. It now skips those
0.3.2
- Nothing is cut off any more. Long recipe names, vendor lines, "Can't get it?" alternatives and skill-cap notes wrap onto a second line, and their rows grow to fit
- The panel starts wider (360 pixels), and you can drag the grip in its bottom-right corner to make it wider or narrower. The shopping list at the auction house uses the same width
- The price line and totals now sit above the Scan and Options buttons instead of underneath them
0.3.1
- The panel no longer covers the profession tabs down the right side of the profession window. It finds them and sits just past them
- If it ever lands in the wrong spot,
/tr offset 20sets the gap by hand (in pixels), and/tr offset autogoes back to finding the tabs
0.3.0 — first release
The cheapest route for every crafting profession
- Plans Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Engineering, Leatherworking, Tailoring and Cooking from your current skill to 300, or to a target you set
- Each skill point is priced as the cost of one craft divided by the chance it gives a point: certain while orange, then falling from yellow to grey. The route is the cheapest way through, nudged towards fewer, longer steps so it reads like a guide
- Re-plans every time your skill changes, so crafting something off the route just moves your starting point
- Leaves out recipes on a cooldown (Mooncloth, transmutes), recipes that only drop, vendor recipes that need reputation, and Merchant's Favor recipes. Options bring the last two back
- Right-click any step to leave that recipe out
Recipes you have to buy
- When the cheapest route needs a vendor recipe, the step names the vendor, zone and price
- Underneath is the best route over the same skill range without that recipe, and what it costs extra
Make or buy
- When making an ingredient beats buying it (Light Leather from Ruined Leather Scraps, bolts from cloth, Cured Light Hide), the list says Make Light Leather, with what goes into it indented underneath
- Hover a Make row to see both prices: making it versus buying it ready-made
- When buying is cheaper, it's just bought, and its raw materials stay off the list
Panel beside the profession window
- Opens with your profession window: the step you're on, how many to make, the whole route, and the shopping list
- Click a step to find the recipe in your profession window. Hover it for skill colours, reagents and cost
- Warns when the route runs into your skill cap, and which rank to train next
- Arrows switch between your professions, and
/tropens it anywhere
Shopping list
- Split by step by default: each step of the route gets a heading, like "27-51 Light Armor Kit x22", followed by exactly the materials that step needs and what they'll cost
- Have/need for every item, counting your bags (and your bank if you turn it on). With 3 in your bags and 75 needed, it shows 3/75
- Your bags go to the earliest step first and are never counted twice
- One list merges it into a single list for the whole route
- Opens beside the auction house. Shift-click an item to search for it
Your own price scan
- Scan prices at the auction house searches every reagent a route could use, so the route can compare them all. Right-click to scan only what's on the list
- Keeps the cheapest listings for each item and prices a route for the amount it needs, not just the single cheapest unit
- Waits for the scan to finish before re-planning, so the route doesn't reshuffle halfway through
- Vendor prices (thread, vials, flux, dye, spices) come bundled, and every merchant you open updates them
- Until you scan, prices are estimated from vendor sell prices, and the panel says how many are estimates
Data
- Recipe colours and reagents from the Forever client, build 1.60.1.70009
- Your profession trainer corrects learn levels: open it once and Trade Route reads the real requirements
/tr checkcompares the colours your profession window shows with the data at your skill/tr probereports which profession and auction house functions this client has
Known issues
- On the current beta, settings changed in-game and scanned prices are lost at logout. Use Save settings... and paste the result over Settings.lua to keep your settings, and scan again each session
- Tools aren't on the shopping list: Enchanting's Runed Rods, the Blacksmith Hammer, the Arclight Spanner. The route reminds you
- Reputation checks on vendor recipes read English tooltips
