TotemTwistTimers is a lightweight World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Classic addon for Shamans that displays active totems and provides a precise Windfury totem twisting timer.

The addon is designed to make totem twisting consistent and reliable, without clutter or unnecessary UI elements.

Features

All Totems Tracked
The addon displays Fire, Earth, Water, and Air totems and shows the icon, name, and remaining duration for each active totem.

Totem Range Awareness (NOT IN DUNGEONS/RAIDS/BATTLEGROUNDS)

Totems are color-coded based on your distance from where they were dropped, using real in-game positioning.

• Green when safely in range
• Orange as you approach the edge
• Red when out of range

Totem ranges are handled correctly, including:

• 20 yard base range
• 30 yard default range for Tremor and Grounding Totems
• Restoration talent that increases all totem ranges to 30 yards

Windfury Totem Twist Timer

A countdown bar starts when Windfury Totem is dropped and continues counting even after swapping to Grace of Air.
The bar automatically disappears when the Windfury buff window expires and resets cleanly on the next Windfury drop.An optional visual or sound warning can trigger near the end of the twist window to help ensure consistent timing.

Nearby Crowd Control Warning
An optional warning alerts you when nearby enemies begin casting Polymorph or Fear. Detection uses arena units, visible nameplates, and your target or focus, providing early awareness without relying on unreliable combat log guesses.

Clean, Auto-Adjusting UI
The window is compact, movable, and automatically adjusts its layout to prevent overlapping or clipping. Background transparency can be adjusted, allowing the frame to blend into the UI or be reduced to text and bars only.

Shaman-Only
The addon automatically disables itself for non-Shaman characters.

Lightweight and Efficient
No external libraries are used and CPU usage is minimal, making the addon safe for raids, battlegrounds, and arena play.

Commands

/ttt show       Shows the addon window.

/ttt config     Brings up the options menu

/ttt hide        Hides the addon window.

/ttt lock         Locks the frame position.

/ttt unlock     Unlocks the frame so it can be dragged.

/ttt center      Resets the window to the center of the screen.

/ttt twist 10   Sets the Windfury twist window duration in seconds.

Known Limitations

Totem range indication is based on the position where the totem was dropped and your current position. World of Warcraft Classic does not provide addons with direct access to a totem’s actual location or distance, so range information is calculated using player movement. This method is accurate in practice but may be slightly off if terrain elevation or map transitions are involved.

Nearby crowd control warnings indicate that an enemy has started casting Polymorph or Fear nearby, but the addon cannot reliably determine the target of the spell. A warning does not guarantee that the spell is being cast on you specifically.

The addon relies on game-provided unit information such as arena units and nameplates. If enemy nameplates are disabled, nearby CC detection may be reduced outside of arenas.

Range coloring and CC detection automatically disable themselves when required game APIs are unavailable, to avoid displaying misleading information.
