Description
TOGBankClassic - Guild Bank Management for Classic Era
Are you tired of logging into multiple bank alts to find items? Does your guild rely on character banks instead of the guild vault? TOGBankClassic is the solution!
TOGBankClassic is a powerful, feature-rich addon that transforms how your guild manages inventory across multiple bank characters. View, search, and request items from all your guild bank alts without ever logging out—all in one convenient interface.
What's New
v1.1.4 (2026-05-30) - Re-open Orders, Multi-Order Mail & Fulfillment Fixes
Bankers can now re-open an order that was finished by mistake, one mail can fill several of a member's orders, the "Mark Filled" button reliably completes orders, and the small buttons along the bottom of the windows are fully clickable again.
- Re-open a finished order. Bankers, officers, and the guild leader can now re-open an order that was marked filled, completed, or cancelled by mistake. A re-open button appears on finished orders in the Requests window; clicking it (and confirming) puts the order back to open and clears its filled count so it can be worked again.
- "Mark Filled" actually completes the order now. The check-mark button on a request — for when you hand items over in person or mail them yourself — now reliably records how many you filled and closes the order once the full amount is reached. (It could previously do nothing at all.) The confirm button is now labelled Mark Filled instead of Mark Sent, since it covers both handing items over and mailing them yourself.
- Bottom-row buttons are fully clickable again. The small icons along the bottom edge of the windows — Close, the help "i", the page arrows, the broom, the fulfill envelope — were only responding to clicks and hover in their top half; the bottom edge felt dead. They now take input across their whole surface, every time the window is opened.
- One mail can fill several of someone's orders. If a guild member has more than one open order with you, you can pack everything into a single mail to them — the addon now marks all of their matching orders filled, not just one. This already worked for a fully hand-made mail; now it also works when you use the Fulfill button and then add a few more items to the same mail to save a trip. (Orders that belong to a different bank character aren't touched.)
v1.1.3 (2026-05-30) - Cancel-Stale Broom Icon Hotfix
A quick fix for the "Cancel Stale" button showing up blank.
- BROOM-001: The broom icon is back. In v1.1.2 the bulk "Cancel Stale" button on the Requests window appeared as an empty/blank button — the broom artwork it tried to use simply isn't included in the Classic Era game client, so there was nothing to draw. The addon now ships its own broom image, so the button shows a proper broom for everyone.
v1.1.2 (2026-05-30) - Requests Tabs, Custom Cancel Reasons & Armor Slot Filter
The Requests window gets a real tabbed layout (Requests / Archive / officer Settings), officers can write their own guild cancel reasons, and Search gains an armor-slot filter — plus a batch of layout polish and a pagination fix.
- Tidier top of the window. The top of the Requests window is now proper tabs: Requests, Archive, and (for officers) Settings. The old "Cancel Stale" button and the wide "< Prev" / "Next >" buttons no longer take up space up there.
- Cleaner, aligned column headers. The Date / Requester / Bank / Item / Sent / Actions headers in the request list are now clean clickable text (click any to sort, click again to reverse) that lines up with the rows beneath them, instead of the chunky buttons that didn't quite match.
- Compact page arrows by the status bar. Paging through requests now uses small "<" and ">" arrow icons next to the "?" help icon at the bottom-right. They dim automatically when you're on the first or last page.
- Cancel Stale is now a broom icon. The bulk "cancel old requests" action is now a small broom icon next to the page arrows, shown only to officers and bank characters. Hover it for a reminder of how many days counts as stale.
- New officer Settings tab. Officers and the guild leader get a Settings tab right inside the Requests window. From there you can set how many days until a request is archived, how many days until an open request is auto-cancelled, and the maximum percentage of stock anyone can request at once — the same options that used to live only in the game's AddOns options panel. Press Enter to apply each value; the auto-cancel and maximum-amount settings sync to the whole guild.
- "Fulfill Oldest Order" button for bankers. With a mailbox open, a new envelope icon at the bottom-right of the Requests window walks the oldest order you can fully cover through one step per click — select, split (if needed), attach, send — then moves to the next-oldest. If the items you need are sitting in your mail, it pulls them into your bags first (one per click, only items for your own orders). Just keep clicking the same button; the status bar tells you the next step. Working it oldest-first means whoever asked first gets served first, and orders you can't fully cover (from bags + mail) are skipped.
- "Mark hand-off" asks how many you gave. The row's check-mark button (for items you handed over in person instead of mailing) now pops a small box asking how many you gave. That number goes into the Sent column, and the order only shows as complete once Sent reaches the amount requested — so partial hand-offs are tracked properly.
- Officer notes on the help tooltips. Officers and the guild leader can add a custom note that shows at the bottom of the help "?" tooltip on each window (Inventory, Search, Requests) — great for telling guildies how to submit a request and how long fulfillment usually takes. Set them in the addon options (Esc → Options → AddOns → TOGBankClassic → Requests, under "Guild Help Notes"); each window gets its own note and they sync to the whole guild.
- View-only bank toons. You can now mark a bank character as "view only" so everyone can see its items (in inventory, search, and tooltips) but nobody can request from it — perfect for a raid bank. To set it up, just add a marker to that toon's guild note next to the usual
gbanktag:gbank viewonly(orgbank readonly, or the shortgbankro). In Search, that bank shows a (view only) tag and clicking its items explains they can't be requested. Items also stored on a normal bank can still be requested from that one. - Filter armor by slot in Search. In the Search window, pick Filter → Type → Armor and a new Slot dropdown appears so you can narrow to a specific slot — Head, Chest, Legs, Hands, Shield, and so on. It works alongside the armor type (Cloth/Leather/Mail/Plate), so you can ask for things like "Plate Legs" or "any Chest".
- Custom cancel reasons. The officer Settings tab now lets you write your own cancel reasons for the guild. For each reason, tick Member and/or Banker to choose where it shows up: in the list a member sees when cancelling their own request, in the list a banker sees when cancelling someone's request, or both. The built-in flavor reasons are listed too — you can't edit their wording, but you can un-tick any you don't want offered anymore. Your reasons sync to the whole guild automatically, so everyone picks from the same list when cancelling.
- Paging no longer jumps back. Clicking the page arrows could snap you back to the first page a moment later whenever fresh request data arrived in the background. Your current page now stays put.
- Bottom-row icons are fully clickable again. The small icons along the bottom of the Inventory, Search, and Requests windows (the gear, the "?" help icon, the page arrows, the broom, and the fulfill envelope) used to respond only if you clicked their exact center, and their hover tooltips were just as fussy. You can now click and hover anywhere on the icon.
- Fulfilling stackable items no longer floods your bags. When the "Fulfill Oldest Order" button pulled needed items out of your mail, a stackable item could come in by the full stack and it would keep pulling more than the order needed. It now stops as soon as it has enough.
v1.1.1 (2026-05-29) - Sorting Fixes & Random-Suffix Requests
This release fixes two inventory sorting problems and a mix-up where requests for items like "of the Tiger" vs "of the Monkey" could point at the wrong version.
- "By Type" now keeps each material together and orders it by level. Sorting your inventory by type used to scatter the same kind of armor across the list (a run of cloth, then some leather, then more cloth). Now all cloth is grouped together, then all leather, then all mail/plate — and within each material the pieces are ordered by required level from highest to lowest (e.g. all plate: 50, 49, 48…), so each group reads in a clean, predictable order.
- "Level" sorting now uses the item's required level. The Level (High to Low / Low to High) sort was ordering by an internal item-level value, which made the list look like it counted down and then started over. It now sorts by the level you need to use the item, so the order reads cleanly from high to low. The "Minimum/Maximum Required Level" search filters were affected by the same mix-up and are fixed too.
- "By Type" now works in the Search window. Choosing "By Type" in the Search window previously did nothing; it now groups results the same way the main inventory does.
- REQ-003: Requests for random-suffix gear show the right version. Items such as "Spiked Club of the Tiger" and "Spiked Club of the Monkey" are different items that share the same base. Before, a request for one could display the other's tooltip and be treated as fulfillable by the wrong one. Requests now remember exactly which version was asked for, so the tooltip and the bank/mail availability checks match the correct item. (Requests created before this update don't carry that detail and keep working as they did.)
v1.1.0 (2026-05-23) - Data Corruption Fix: Bogus Item Counts & Cleaner Commands
This release fixes a data-corruption bug that could cause individual gear items in the inventory view to show wildly inflated quantities (thousands of a weapon that physically can only exist once), and trims the slash-command list down to only the commands real players actually use.
- Filter gear by level. The Search window has two new compact inputs labelled "Min lvl" and "Max lvl". Type a number into either (or both) to hide items outside that required-level range. Leave one empty for an open-ended range. Combines with the existing Type/Quality/Usable filters.
- Search window filters are more compact. The filter dropdowns no longer take a full row each — they're now sized to their content and arranged in a row that automatically wraps to multiple lines based on how wide you've made the Search window. Resize the window wider to see more filters per row; narrower to stack them. Frees up vertical space for results.
- Help icon and bottom-right pagination on the Search window. A new "?" help icon at the bottom-right explains how Search works. The "< Previous" / "Next >" full-width buttons are gone — they're now compact "<" and ">" icons next to the close button, freeing another row of space for results.
- More tooltips throughout the Search window. Hover the "Min lvl", "Max lvl", "Usable", "Filter", or "Sort" labels for an explanation of what each does. The Sort tooltip no longer pops up while you're trying to click the dropdown.
- One-click access to settings. A new gear icon now sits next to the help "?" icon at the bottom-right of the main guild bank window. Click it to open the addon's options panel directly — no more navigating through Escape → Options → AddOns → TOGBankClassic.
- ITEM-004: Inflated weapon and armor counts are fixed. Gear items could show counts in the hundreds or thousands due to a bug where mail items were being double-counted into the bank view across sync cycles. The bug is fixed and a one-time cleanup runs automatically within 30 seconds of logging in. You'll see a chat message like "Ghost purge: removed X linkless gear ghost(s) from saved data" if any corrupt entries were found and cleaned up. Fresh data from your bankers will refill anything that gets removed.
- ITEM-003: Gear items showing as duplicated rows in the inventory are fixed. Plain "Battlefell Sabre" and "Battlefell Sabre of Power" can no longer collide in a way that corrupts each other's counts.
- Slash-command list cleaned up. Type
/togbank helpand you'll see a much shorter list — only the commands that are actually useful for players (open the UI, sync, share, debug logging, reset). Internal developer/debugging commands likedeltastats, protocol, forcedelta, perfstatsetc. are no longer shown to players. Officers still havewipeall, roster, compact, and thedebuglogfamily for reporting bugs. - Behind the scenes: groundwork is laid for a future release that will dramatically reduce the network bandwidth used by guild bank syncs (5x or more smaller). No user-visible change in this release; the heavy lifting will come in v1.2 once the foundation is fully populated.
If you were previously seeing impossible numbers like "6237 Battlefell Sabre of Power" in your guild bank view, this release fixes the cause and cleans up the leftover bad data automatically. No action needed on your part.
v1.0.0 (2026-04-11) - First Stable Release: Fulfill Location Awareness & Polish
After months of active development and in-guild testing, we're shipping 1.0.0. This release rounds out the fulfillment workflow with location-aware button states and fixes the last rough edges found during real-world use.
- Fulfill button location awareness: The fulfill button now shows distinct icons and contextual tooltips for items that can't be mailed immediately — wax letter icon when the item is in your mail inbox, paired bag+letter icons when it's split across bank and mail, and shortage icons (with exact counts) when you have some in bags but need to pick up more. No more guessing why the button isn't ready.
- TOOLTIP-001: Item link "Bankers:" tooltip no longer shows stock data for characters who have left the guild — guild roster membership is now verified before displaying any banker's inventory
- FULFILL-001: Fulfill button icon now correctly transitions away from the split (shovel) icon after a bag split completes — it was stuck because the bag-update event was calling the wrong draw function
- HIGHLIGHT-001: Bagnon item highlighting now works for tradeskill recipes and patterns (Pattern:, Formula:, Plans:, Schematic:, Design:, Manual:) — the colon in these names was silently breaking Bagnon's search parser
v0.10.10 (2026-04-04) - Same-Name Item Variant Disambiguation
- REQ-001: Same-name item variants (e.g. Punctured Voodoo Doll Priest/Warrior/Druid) are now correctly distinguished — requests store the numeric item ID and all fulfillment, highlighting, and mail detection use it for exact matching; old clients fall back to name-matching automatically
- REQ-002: Hovering a request's item name now shows the tooltip for the correct class variant, not whichever one happened to appear first in guild inventory
- ItemHighlight fix: Needed-quantity calculation now correctly subtracts already-fulfilled amounts (was always showing full quantity due to wrong field name)
v0.10.9 (2026-04-03) - Cancel Reason Overhaul, Fulfillment Sound Fix & Options Cleanup
- Role-aware cancel reasons: Bankers see 6 flavour-text reasons when cancelling a member's request; members cancelling their own orders see 5 separate reasons — role detected automatically via IsBank()
- MAIL-014: Order fulfillment sound now actually plays — the original PlaySound() call used a string name removed in Patch 7.3.0; fixed to use the correct numeric SoundKitID
- Fulfillment sound toggle: New Options toggle "Play Sound on Order Fulfilled" (defaults on) for players who find the sound disruptive
- Reset Database tooltip: The Reset Database button in Options now has a clear tooltip explaining what it does and that it cannot be undone
- Removed dead Communication Protocol dropdown from Options — the setting was never read by any actual send/receive code
v0.10.8 (2026-04-02) - Requests UI Pagination & Copyable Item Text
- Pagination: Requests window now shows 50 rows per page — no more game freezes when switching to "Any Banker" with 100+ requests
- Copyable item names: Click any item name in the Requests window to highlight it, then Ctrl+C to copy
- Item tooltips on hover: Mouse over any item name in Requests to see the full WoW item tooltip with stats and quality
- "Requests synced." confirmation printed after a user-triggered /togbank sync completes
v0.10.7 (2026-04-02) - P2P Delivery Watchdog Tuning
- P2P-032: Delivery watchdog raised from 60s to 180s — prevents premature sync failure during slow AceCommQueue drains (observed worst case: 68–70s for 9 KB payloads)

Recent Updates
v0.10.4 (Latest Release)
- New: AceCommQueue-1.0 — embedded transparent send-queue library that prevents multipart AceComm message chunk interleaving; a second message on the same prefix now waits until the current message's last chunk is confirmed handed off to ChatThrottleLib, eliminating CRC-fail INTEGRITY-MISMATCH errors caused by priority-bucket reordering; fully transparent to existing call sites; includes /acq debug commands
- AceCommQueue-1.0 is now also available as a standalone CurseForge addon for use in any AceComm-3.0 addon — see curseforge.com/wow/addons/acecommqueue
v0.10.3
- New: Cancel reason dialog — cancelling a request now opens a dialog to select a reason before confirming; three preset reasons including one that reflects the current officer-configured request limit percentage
- New: Request timeline tooltip — hover any row’s date in the Requests window to see when it was submitted, filled, or cancelled (includes reason and a note that mailed items take ~1 hour to arrive)
- Improved: ? help tooltip on the Requests window updated to document the date tooltip and cancel dialog; obsolete Delete section removed
- Fixed (P2P-030): hash-list broadcast collision guard — the guard flag was cleared on a fixed 15-second timer; under ChatThrottleLib congestion the drain could exceed 15 seconds, causing a second broadcast to start and producing INTEGRITY-MISMATCH errors on recipients; flag is now cleared via the AceComm callback instead
v0.10.2
- New: item tooltip banker info — mousing over any item in-game now shows which bankers have it in stock and how many, sorted by quantity; no addon window needed
v0.10.1
- Fixed (P2P-023): hash-list broadcast collision — concurrent broadcasts on the same AceComm spool key produced CRC-fail INTEGRITY-MISMATCH errors; a guard flag now blocks BULK collisions and defers NORMAL/ALERT sends with up to 3 retries
- P2P reform: periodic hash sync now runs exclusively through the collect/offer/dispatch pipeline; fast-fill suppressed during collect window; /togbank hashdebug reports missing-content alts
- Removed redundant dual-sync path; fixed first-run session start; corrected activeSessions cap
- Diagnostics: AceSerializer error text now included in PAYLOAD-TYPE log lines, showing exact splice point in corrupt messages
v0.10.0
- Visual sort dropdowns in Search and Inventory windows with 6-7 modes (A-Z, By Type, By Rarity, By Level, By Bank/Slot, By Quantity) and reverse order toggle
- Thin 8px scrollbars across all windows matching dropdown pullout menu style, positioned at right edge with proper spacing
- Banker name shown in search results for easier identification
- Window sizes persist across reloads for all three windows
- Fixed: Requests dropdowns closing immediately when clicked (now stay open for selection)
- Fixed: Sort by Type equipment now groups properly by equip slot with uncached items handled gracefully
- Fixed: Debug frame now restores previously active chat tab when closed
v0.9.17
- Requests Archive tab — requests older than a configurable threshold (default 30 days) move to an Archive tab automatically, keeping the main view focused on active requests
- Auto-cancel stale requests — open requests older than the threshold are tombstoned on sync; officers can also bulk-cancel via the new "Cancel Stale" button
- Help icons and tooltips on all windows — hover the ? icon or any button/column header/dropdown for guidance
- Unified thin border and improved button alignment across all windows
- Fixed: guild-wide settings (request limits, auto-cancel threshold) now reliably broadcast to all online members on change
- Fixed: slot counts included in no-change whispers, preventing missed syncs in some cases
