0.1.0
The first release, for World of Warcraft: Forever (Interface 16001).
Time Is Money is a single-player mini-game in an enchanted goblin ledger. It is a faithful port of Universal Paperclips, by Frank Lantz: your company makes Handfuls of Copper Bolts, then keeps going. Start with /tim start.
- The whole game. All three phases, 96 projects, investments, strategic tournaments, the planet and the stars, battles, both prestige routes and every ending. The numbers match the original game.
- Company funds and materials are simulated. The game never touches your gold, your bags, the Auction House or your professions.
- The ledger window. Cards appear as the company grows, with a "New" tag on what just arrived. Every button, item and card title has a tooltip. Unavailable actions say why and where the missing resource comes from.
- Gazlowe, your Director. He greets you when the ledger opens, talks when reports arrive, and now and then offers a deal. Click him (or the reports) for the report history. A 2D portrait is available in Settings.
- Pause. /tim pause, or the button in Settings, stops the company until you resume. Closing the window does not pause it: the company keeps working while you play.
- Settings. The Director's model, his voice, the report sound, the minimap button, the window scale and a new game.
- Saving. Progress is saved when you log out or /reload. A crash or forced close can lose progress since the last save. Nothing happens while you are offline.
Commands: /tim start (found your company), /tim (open or close the ledger), /tim pause, /tim settings, /tim reports, /tim minimap, /tim help, /tim status.
Credits: Universal Paperclips is a game by Frank Lantz; combat programming by Bennett Foddy. (c) 2017 Everybody House Games. Play the original at decisionproblem.com/paperclips. Time Is Money is an unofficial, non-commercial fan project.
