ThreatMarker 6.4.0-beta.13

Improved
-
The gap slider now adjusts:

Vertical spacing for the three positions above the health bar.

-
Secondary Tank and aggro-holder icons are positioned outward in Left Side mode so they do not cover the health bar.

Left Side
-
Top Left
-
Top Center
-
Top Right
-
-
Updated the live preview to match the exact in-game position.

Opacity
-
Added a shared opacity setting for the icon and its border.
-
Adjustable from 40% to 100%, with a default value of 50%.
-
The previous 80% default is automatically migrated to 50%; other custom values are preserved.

The minimum value remains clearly visible and cannot make indicators completely disappear.

-
1 px: minimum but still clearly visible.

ThreatMarker 6.4.0-beta.11 — changelog
DPS/Healer aggro holder
- Added a class icon when a DPS or Healer in the party or raid is actually holding an enemy's aggro.
- For a Tank player, the icon has a red border when the other player securely holds the enemy and an orange border when that control is insecure.
- For DPS and Healer players, the holder icon is displayed without a border.
- The secondary icon disappears immediately when the enemy returns to the player.
- No holder is guessed when target or threat data is protected or inconsistent.
New settings
- Added “Show the DPS/Healer class holding aggro,” enabled by default.
- Added an independent size setting from 0.60× to 1.50×, defaulting to 1×.
- The other-Tank shield keeps its own toggle and size setting.
- Updated French and English tooltips and the color explanation.
Verification
- SavedVariables schema updated to version 9.
- Passed 39 regression scenarios separately on simulated Era, Forever, TBC, Wrath, Cataclysm, and Mists profiles.
- No native WoW client test was performed here; this remains a validation beta.
ThreatMarker 6.4.0-beta.10 — changelog
Class icon fix
- Fixed the personal icon keeping the previous character's class after switching characters, such as Shaman → Paladin.
- The minimap button icon now follows the same update.
- Added Auto: current class mode, enabled by default: the icon always matches the logged-in character's class.
- Clicking a class icon enables Manual mode and keeps that choice across characters.
- The Auto button restores current-class tracking at any time.
Migration and verification
- Previous selections with ambiguous intent migrate once to Auto mode.
- SavedVariables schema updated to version 8.
- Passed 38 regression scenarios separately on simulated Era, Forever, TBC, Wrath, Cataclysm, and Mists profiles.
- Tests cover a Shaman → Paladin switch, the minimap icon, Auto/Manual selection, and persistence of an intentional manual choice.
- No native WoW client test was performed here; this remains a validation beta.
ThreatMarker 6.4.0-beta.9 — changelog
Tank threat states
- Green: stable aggro.
- Orange: the Tank still holds the enemy, but control is fragile.
- Red: aggro is lost, including when the Tank remains very high on the threat table.
- This removes the previous ambiguity where the marker could remain orange after the enemy had already switched targets.
Other-Tank shield
- Removed Tank initials because they were too small to remain readable inside the shield.
- Removed the “Show their initials” setting.
- Added an independent secondary-shield size setting from 0.60× to 1.50×.
- New default shield size: 1× the base icon size.
- Blue still means stable Tank aggro; orange means fragile Tank aggro.
Verification
- Existing settings migrate automatically to schema 7.
- Passed 36 regression scenarios separately on simulated Era, Forever, TBC, Wrath, Cataclysm, and Mists profiles.
- No native WoW client test was performed here; this remains a validation beta.
ThreatMarker 6.4.0-beta.8 — changelog

Classes and interface
- Added the Death Knight icon for Wrath, Cataclysm, and Mists.
- Added the Monk icon for Mists.
- Reworked the eleven class-icon positions so every icon remains visible on one row.

- Verified the syntax of every Lua file.
- Third-party libraries and the embedded original backup archive remain unchanged.
Beta note: the newly added branches still require testing in their native WoW clients. Interface metadata allows the addon to load but does not replace in-game validation.
Beta note: this archive has not yet been tested inside a native WoW client.
