What's new

Thicc UI 2.43.64

New

  • PvP Mods (off unless you tick it): about the enemy you've targeted (players and NPCs): their cooldowns (pick which to follow, class by class, and change any cooldown's seconds) and diminishing returns on the crowd control landing on them (half, quarter, immune, with the time until it resets). Each goes on the screen, the target frame or the nameplate; move them like HUD elements (Ctrl+Shift with "Move HUD elements too", Edit Mode, or Unlock on its page), with a resize grabber on the screen.
  • Trinket bar: your two trinkets on a small bar: click to use, point at one to swap in another from your bags.
  • Party and raid rows: drag the corner grip of the raid frames or raid-style party frames to choose how many go in a row.
  • Resize handles (Window Control, on by default): a grip in the bottom right corner of every window; drag it to resize.
  • Countdown Trackers (was Flight Tracker): besides the flight bar, a countdown for the time you have left to enter a battleground before its invitation expires; both can be a bar, a thin bar, an icon or text.
  • Classic talent window (Classic Appearances): your talents key opens the talents in the Classic look, one tree per tab with the tree's artwork, points pencilled in until you press Learn, and your primary and secondary talent specialisation on two side tabs with an Activate button. A Planner button opens the Talent Planner from it.
  • Mailbox Bag. Your inbox as one bag: every item, coin and letter in a grid, each showing the time left before it's returned (colour-coded). Search for anything (item name, kind, slot, quality, sender, subject, "money", "cod", "soon"), sort by time left, name, item level, level needed, quality, kind, sender or amount, and filter by equipment, wearable equipment, consumables, crafting and more. Gear your class can't equip is marked red. Click or right-click to take an item; take all, or only what's shown. A button on your bags shows any character's recorded mail away from a mailbox.
  • Preset radial rings. One click makes a Professions ring (your professions, tracking, Poisons, Smelting and so on), or a Tracking, Raid markers, World markers or Windows ring. Preset rings add what you learn later.
  • Talent Planner for every class, with the latest beta trees built in and notes on what changed from Classic.
  • Dungeon Journal: what each boss does, for the eleven dungeons the beta reaches, plus Excavation Site: Wetlands and the City of Dalaran in full (bosses, loot, abilities, beta drop rates), the five other new dungeons, 120 newly seen drops and current level ranges.
  • Weapon tooltips say where to train. A weapon type you haven't trained yet (and your class can) lists your faction's weapon masters who teach it.
  • Spell Tracking (Cooldown Settings + and Nameplates+ together): a proc bar (your procs while they're up, with a glow and a sound, and a glow on the action bar button too) and cooldown bars of your own: name them, add any abilities (typed or from your spellbook), show them on the screen or on your target's nameplate, plus combo points, resource, target label and range, each anchored to the nameplate, a unit frame (player, target, focus, party, raid) or the screen; one list grouped by anchor, each group folding, with a nameplate preview drawn from your own nameplate options.
  • Range pip (Spell Tracking, Nameplates+): a pip on your target's nameplate for the ability you pressed last, green in range and red out of range.
  • Custom Chat (off unless ticked): copy any chat tab's text, and a Messenger window for whispers with chat bubbles, and an optional minimap button that flashes while a whisper is unread (in the flyout or on its own).
  • Group Finder Whispers tab: while you're listed, everyone who whispers you in a sortable table (level, class, role, zone, filled in from your searches, applicants and the whisper itself), messages on mouseover, ready to invite or reply.
  • Chad or Chud: rate players 1-5 stars (Chud to Chad), keep notes, blacklist; shown on tooltips and in the Group Finder. Profiles show time grouped, deaths, duels and Need rolls won/lost by quality; report one to chat.
  • EZ Macros: build macros from drop-downs (mouseover heals, two spells on one button, weapon swaps and more), #showtooltip included.
  • Flyout Minimap Buttons: all add-on minimap buttons behind one Thicc UI button that flies them out in the direction you choose.
  • Mobile Trainer class drop-down: see everything any class's trainer teaches, by level.
  • Profession tooltips say where to train the next rank: what it needs and who of your faction teaches it (or which book or quest).
  • Window Control can move HUD elements (experimental, off by default). Tick "Move HUD elements too", then hold Ctrl+Shift and drag action bars, the cast bar, buffs, the tracker and the rest of what Edit Mode places. A spot belongs to the Edit Mode layout that was active when you set it.

Changed

  • Talent Planner: every class's trees updated to beta build 1.60.1.70425 (Shaman's Elemental tree reworked around Lava Burst and Elemental Mastery; Mage, Priest and Warlock talents moved, added and removed; Impale needs Deep Wounds again; Predatory Instincts is now Natural Instinct and Wake of Fire is Improved Fire Blast again, and saved plans follow the new names). A plan now stops at the 51 points you have at level 60.
  • Group Finder: Whisper / Send Message and Invite / Request Invite now go through the game's own chat box and slash commands.
  • Whispers collected while you're listed in the Group Finder no longer pop the Messenger open; Reply on the Whispers tab opens it.
  • Classic Appearances (the Classic quest log, social window and talent window) is off unless you tick it. If you had it on, tick it again on its page.
  • Snapshots carry your radial rings along with your Thicc UI settings.
  • Snapshots keep a full copy of a custom HUD layout, so it can be rebuilt on another account or game client.
  • Hiding the bag bar and micro menu is saved per character.
  • Action Keybinds is off unless you tick it. Dragging an action off a bar no longer removes the key from that slot.

Fixed

  • Spell Tracking: offsets are measured the same way for everything (combo points, resource, target label, range pip and tracker bars): across from the middle and up from the top of the nameplate or frame, to the middle of each. The same Up now lines them up. Your current layout doesn't move.
  • Spell Tracking: "Buff missing" icons showing again in combat, buffs cast during combat not counted, and buffs running out in combat not noticed.
  • Alt Inventory: item tooltips only showed counts once you had an alt; they now show for a single character too.
  • Custom Chat: a whisper opened the game’s own whisper tab as well as the Messenger.
  • Group Finder: ticking every dungeon found fewer groups than ticking a few (searches for more than 16 dungeons now go out in parts).
  • Action Keybinds follows abilities moved off a Warrior's stance bar (and Druid forms, Rogue stealth).
  • Nameplate target label says "You" in dungeons again instead of your name.
  • Dungeon Journal item tooltips appear beside the item.
  • Shift-click to link an item or split a stack when the game's Shift-click settings had been lost.
  • A Lua error from Alt Inventory in battlegrounds.
  • Radial rings turning up from another character.
  • Poisons in a radial ring; trained abilities staying listed in the Mobile Trainer.
