What's new

MissionAccomplished 1.9.14

A Bankert's Bags maintenance release on top of 1.9.13 for WoW Classic Era 1.15.9. Four reports from a live session, each diagnosed on the running client rather than guessed at. All eleven packages carry the new version number; the changes are in Bankert's Bags. The full list is in CHANGELOG.md.

Bankert's Bags

  • An item tooltip in the bag no longer flickers away a moment after it appears. The outclassed equipment dialog was hiding the game tooltip outright whenever the equipment review was invalidated, which happens on every bag update, quest log update, equipment change and skill change, whether or not that dialog is open. The quest log alone ticks every few seconds, so a tooltip only settled once everything went quiet. It now closes a tooltip only when the tooltip belongs to one of its own frames, and only while it is actually open.
  • A repaint moves tiles under a stationary cursor, and the client sends the tile it left its leave even when that tile is still under the cursor. A repaint now restores the hovered tile's tooltip once it settles, and never closes one. Closing still belongs to scrolling, where tiles really do move away.
  • Closing the bag during combat left the Quick Launch slots, and then their clear controls, standing on the screen. The slots are secure buttons on a protected frame that ordinary code cannot hide in combat, so the bag's close button now has a secure twin laid exactly over it, which hides them from inside the client's restricted environment and then closes the window as before. The clear controls follow what the slots are actually showing. Closing with Escape or the bag key during combat still leaves the slots until the fight ends.
  • Dump junk could stop without a word. Every link in its destroy chain is a refusal it is entitled to make (the stack moved, a supply quota, a quest requirement, the cursor), and all of them were silent, which is indistinguishable from a broken button. Each link is named now, and a dump that destroys nothing says which one stopped it. No check changed, and nothing is destroyed that was not destroyed before.
  • The bag's tooltip record keeps only hides that happen with the cursor still on the tile, notes whether a merchant was open, and carries a deeper stack. It is what named the culprit above.
