Description
🤠 The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is a player tracking addon that allows you to record and review the players you encounter in World of Warcraft. It helps you maintain personal notes and structured feedback on group members for future reference.
🧠 Overview
The addon enables you to store information about players you interact with, including class, specialization, role, personal notes, and a simple rating system (Good / Bad / Ugly). This data is accessible in-game and integrated directly into tooltips and group notifications.
✨ Features
📝 Player Tracking
Add players to your personal database directly from the unit frame right-click menu via “Add to List”. Each entry includes:
- Name (read-only)
- Class (read-only)
- Build / Specialization (e.g. Resto, Feral, etc.)
- Role (Tank / Healer / DPS)
- Personal notes
- GBU rating (Good / Bad / Ugly)
💬 Tooltip Integration
When hovering over a player:
- If the player exists in your database, their note will be shown in the tooltip.
- Notes are color-coded based on rating:
- 🟢 Good – green text
- 🔴 Bad – red text
- 🔵 Ugly – blue text
Example:
- Good: Nice DPS
- Bad: Wrong pulls all the time
📢 Group Awareness Notifications
When joining or forming a party/raid, the addon automatically checks for known players in your database. If matches are found, a chat notification is displayed.
Notifications are also color-coded:
- 🟢 Good
- 🔴 Bad
- 🔵 Ugly
This provides immediate awareness of relevant players in your group.

The /gbu command opens the full player database interface, which includes:
- Paginated list of all saved players
