TBC Raid Kompass is a complete in-game raid guide for World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary (patch 2.5.6). It puts the tactics for every TBC raid directly into your game — no alt-tabbing to a wiki, no external websites, no libraries required.
All 9 Raids — 53 Boss Guides
- Karazhan — 14 entries (all bosses, Opera event variants, optional bosses)
- Gruul's Lair — 2 bosses
- Magtheridon's Lair — 1 boss
- Serpentshrine Cavern — 6 bosses
- Tempest Keep (The Eye) — 4 bosses
- Mount Hyjal — 5 bosses
- Black Temple — 9 bosses
- Zul'Aman — 6 bosses
- Sunwell Plateau — 6 bosses
Every boss guide includes:
- A short overview of the encounter
- A large 3D model portrait of the boss (where available)
- Every ability explained in detail — what it does and how to handle it
- Mechanic badges such as [Interruptible], [AoE] or [Tank Swap]
- Color-coded role tips for tanks (blue), healers (green) and DPS (orange)
- Role filter buttons to show only the tips relevant to your role
Trash Guides & Mouseover Tooltips
- Every raid has a dedicated Trash tab listing the important trash mobs and their abilities.
- Hover over a trash mob (or boss) in the game world and the addon appends its abilities to the game tooltip.
- Mobs are recognized by NPC ID — works regardless of client language (German and English clients supported).
Boss Kill Tracking
- Per-boss "defeated this week" progress with automatic weekly reset.
- Auto-detection: bosses you kill are marked as defeated automatically — live during combat and via saved-instance scan after login.
- Kill sync: a boss kill is shared with everyone in the raid who runs the addon, so the whole raid sees the same progress.
Raid Coordination
- My Notes: personal, persistent notes for every boss.
- Share notes: raid leaders and assistants can share their boss note with the raid — it appears in the guide window of every addon user and is posted as a raid warning (/rw), so players without the addon can read it too. Long notes are automatically split into multiple parts.
- Addon activity counter (visible to leaders/assistants): shows how many raid members run the addon — hover for the names, click to recount.
- Raid roster with real promote/demote assistant management.
BossWatch Companion Window
- Target a boss and a small companion window shows its role tips, with your own role highlighted.
- Stays visible while you prepare and hides automatically during combat — it never blocks your view.
Minimap Button & Search
- Click the book-icon minimap button — if you are inside a TBC raid, the guide for exactly that raid opens automatically (instance detection).
- Full-text search across all raids: boss names, abilities, role tips and trash mobs — click a result to jump straight to the guide.
