Description

Target Arrow Forever

Spot your target. Know the danger at a glance.

Target Arrow Forever puts a clear, animated arrow over your target's nameplate, coloured by how tough it is. Grey, green, yellow, orange or red at a glance, and red for enemy players. It's built for World of Warcraft: Forever.

✨ Features

🎨 Con colours

  • Mobs are coloured by level compared to yours, exactly like the game's con colours:
Arrow Meaning
⚪ Grey Gives no XP
🟢 Green Easy
🟡 Yellow About your level
🟠 Orange Tough
🔴 Red Very tough, or ?? skull
  • Enemy players are always red, whatever their level (colour adjustable).
  • Friendlies are green, with optional class colours for players.
  • Tapped mobs turn grey, so you know there's no loot or XP for you.
  • Con rules: match the game exactly, or use classic vanilla rules.
  • Prefer something simpler? Switch to reaction colours (hostile, neutral, friendly) or one colour of your choice.

👑 Elite and rare trim

  • Gold edge for elites, silver for rares, purple for rare elites, orange for bosses.
  • A red arrow with a gold edge means a dangerous elite: think twice.

✨ Looks the way you want

  • 4 styles: Chevron, Arrow, Pointer and Gem.
  • 4 animations: Bob, Pulse, Breathe and None, plus a quick drop-in when you change target.
  • A soft glow in the arrow's colour, easy to spot in busy fights.
  • Adjustable size, opacity, height and sideways offset.
  • Scales with the nameplate as targets move closer or further away (or stays the same size, your choice).

🎯 You decide who gets an arrow

  • Toggle enemies, neutral mobs, friendly NPCs and friendly players separately.
  • Optional smaller teal arrow on your focus target.

🛠️ Easy to set up

  • A clean options window with a live preview that cycles through every colour, or shows your actual target.
  • If enemy nameplates are off, it tells you once, and one click (or /taf plates) turns them on.
  • The arrow is purely visual: it never blocks a click.
  • Minimap button, AddOns compartment button and a key binding to switch it on or off.

⌨️ Commands

Command What it does
/taf Open options
/taf on / /taf off Switch the arrow on / off
/taf status Settings, and what your target counts as
/taf test Redraw the arrow on your target
/taf plates Turn on enemy nameplates
/taf reset Default settings
/taf minimap Show or hide the minimap button

Minimap button: left-click opens options, right-click switches the arrow on or off.

📌 Good to know

The arrow sits on your target's nameplate, so nameplates need to be on (the V key). If your target has no visible nameplate, the arrow has nowhere to show.

📦 Install

  1. Download and unzip.
  2. Put the TargetArrowForever folder in World of Warcraft\_classic_beta_\Interface\AddOns\ (or the same folder in your WoW: Forever install), replacing any old copy.
  3. The folder must be named exactly TargetArrowForever.
