📝 Tank Codex Notes

Your tank's plan, on your screen, right when it matters.

Tank Codex Notes is the companion addon for healers and DPS in groups with a tank who uses Tank Codex. Your tank writes a plan per dungeon; this addon receives it and shows you what matters for your role, exactly when you need it.

🆕 What's New in 1.6.0

• ⏱️ Key timer on top of the route guide during a key: time against the limit, time left for +3 / +2 / +1, deaths, forces and bosses.
• 🔑 Answer "Next key?" after a key: your tank asks, you reply with your keystone in one go.
• 🧩 Shares your addon versions with your tank's addon check (only version numbers, never during a key). Switch it off with Share addon versions in the window.
• 🖼️ Buttons and the route guide fit better.

⚙️ How It Works

1. Your tank shares. Before the key, your tank presses Share with the group in Tank Codex.
2. You choose. A pop-up appears with View, Later or Ignore. Your tank sees that the notes arrived and that you opened them.
3. It's saved. Notes are stored on your character, per dungeon. Every note is kept (up to 20 per dungeon); a new one never replaces an older one.
4. The route comes along. The MDT route button copies your tank's route straight into Mythic Dungeon Tools.

🧭 In the Dungeon: The Route Guide

• 🗺️ One card with a mini map of the route: the pull you're on, its enemies and forces, and your tank's lines for that pull.
• ⏱️ Key timer on top: your time against the limit, what's left for +3 / +2 / +1, deaths, forces and bosses.
• 📂 The general note and tips sit folded at the top (click to open). During a boss fight, that boss's line jumps to the top.
• ⏭️ It advances after every fight and boss; use < and > (or key bindings) to correct it. Drag to move, drag the corner to resize.
• 📢 Call-outs: when your tank marked a pull (Bloodlust, Defensives, …), a big warning with sound appears when you reach it.

🏁 After the Key

• 🔑 Next key? When your tank asks which key to run next, Tank Codex Notes answers with your keystone, so your tank can pick the one that does the most for the group.

✨ And More

• ✏️ Your own lines between your tank's lines (+ Own line), only on your character. They stay when your tank shares a new version.
• 🏃 Practice mode: walk through the route outside the dungeon, with its own counter.
• 👤 Per tank: every version of a tank's notes, with what changed. When that tank is in your group, his latest plan for the dungeon is offered automatically.
• 🔗 Share strings (starting with !THN1!) work too, for example from Discord: open /tcxn and press Paste string.
• 🧩 Addon versions: shared with your tank's addon check (only numbers, never during a key). Off with Share addon versions.

Tank Codex is growing beyond dungeons, and raid support is in development. Tank Codex Notes will follow, so your tank's raid plan reaches you too.

ℹ️ Good to know

The game blocks addon messages while a Mythic+ key or a boss fight is running. That's why sharing happens before the start; during the key, everyone reads what they already have.
