Talented Detector
Ever wondered who in your group took Talented? Now you can see it at a glance.
Talented Detector adds one line to player tooltips in World of Warcraft: Forever showing their Talented legacy rank, from 0/5 to 5/5. There's no setup and no options to dig through: install it and mouse over anyone.
Features
- Talented rank on every player tooltip
- Works on anyone you can inspect: party members, guildies, people in town, players in your dungeon group
- Mouse over yourself to see your exact rank, read straight from your Legacy tree (this works at level 60 too)
/talented statskeeps a running count of how many players you've seen at each rank- Lightweight: it only inspects when you mouse over someone, and never during combat
Reading the tooltip
- 3/5: 3 ranks of Talented
- 4+/5: at least 4 ranks (levels 56–59, where the 51-point cap hides the higher ranks)
- n/a at max level: at level 60 everyone has 51 points, so ranks can't be told apart
- inspecting…: fetching their talents
- out of range: get a bit closer and mouse over them again
- couldn't read talents: the inspect came back empty; it tries again after a few seconds
Commands
/talented stats: how many players you've seen at each rank/talented toggle: show or hide the tooltip line/talented debug: print the raw talent numbers for each player read/talented reset: clear your saved stats
How it works
Talented gets you talent points earlier while leveling: each rank moves your first point one level sooner, from level 10 down to as low as 5. The addon inspects a player, compares their spent talent points with what their level normally gives, and the difference is their rank. It's the same information anyone can see by inspecting someone.
Inspecting doesn't show another player's unspent points, so someone who hasn't spent all their points may read lower than their real rank.
