Talekeeper: your day in Azeroth, written down

Every time you play becomes a chapter of your hero's book, read aloud if you like. Talekeeper watches what your character does. When you log out, that sitting is written as a chapter of The Tale of <your hero>: the lands you crossed, the quests and why they mattered, the dungeons, the deaths, where you left off. Read it before you sleep, listen to it on the road, keep it forever.

Built for WoW Forever, which is in beta. For now, Talekeeper works for those with beta access. It is ready for the launch, and it will keep growing with time and with the community's feedback.

Made for Hardcore: one life, one book

Talekeeper was made for hardcore characters. On a hardcore realm the Tale is a whole story with a true ending, from the first steps to the last stand. If your hero falls, the book closes with them, and what is left is every road they walked. If they never fall, the book never ends. Any ruleset is welcome; hardcore is where the book means the most.

How it works

1. Install the addon. It records on its own and never touches the internet (addons cannot).
2. Sign in at talekeeper.gg with Battle.net or Discord, and link your character with one command in the game: /talekeeper link CODE.
3. Run the companion, a small tray app for Windows. It carries each session to the site when you log out. No companion? /talekeeper export gives you a string to paste on the site.

When you stop playing, the chapter is written in English and Spanish: by email if you like, on the site always, and as a private podcast for the car.

What makes the book

• The land around every deed. The red dust of Durotar, the wind across Mulgore's golden grass, the grey light of the Wetlands: Azeroth as it truly stands, around what you truly did.
• The quests in their own words. Who needed what, and why you went.
• A narrator. 28 voices to choose from, deep or high, raspy or clear.
• Your screenshots, printed on the page at the moment you took them.

The rules of the book

• It narrates only what was logged. Nothing invented about you, ever.
• Chat is never recorded. Your Tale is private: download it or delete it whenever you want.
• Nothing tied to the game: no rewards, no tokens. A memory, not a prize.
• Free... for now.
