Sync now asks. Until this release a client only received what other clients happened to broadcast — which is when their own gear changed — so a fresh install stayed empty until enough people re-geared near it. There is now a query/response protocol (Q asks, S returns the sender's own record, T a short digest of their best), flood-controlled by a 20-second per-client respond interval and a 1–4s random jitter, and sized against the 255-byte addon-message limit. Click a leaderboard row to open a gear panel for that player, rendering the cached per-slot items as real item links so the client supplies quality colour and hover tooltips. Slot labels use Blizzard's own INVTYPE_* strings, so the panel is translated into languages this add-on has never been translated into. Sync no longer discards records with an empty field: the deserializer used gmatch("([^;]+)"), which skips empty fields and therefore rejected every record whose specName or faction was blank — a routine case, and a silent one. Eleven-language localization (deDE, esES, esMX, frFR, itIT, koKR, ptBR, ruRU, zhCN, zhTW over an enUS source of truth) wired through every user-facing string, following TacoTip's own language setting. Minimap button now opens the leaderboard on left-click and settings on right-click. Options' "Open Server Leaderboard" moved off the description text to the top-right. Rank numbers are coloured by percentile through Scoring.QualityColor — a function the leaderboard had always called and that did not exist, so every GearScore and iLvl value had rendered white. Tooltip rank line reads [#2 Warrior] with the ranking number coloured by standing and the class name in its class colour. A scan button on both the leaderboard header and the Options page drives one shared scan, with a progress rail fed by the new Scanner.GetProgress(). Per-realm capacity raised to 20000 records, measured at ~5.3 MB of SavedVariables. Sync re-driven on login, reload, instance transitions and open-world zoning, throttled to once per 30 seconds. Cross-client hardening folded into this release: legacy GetAddOnMetadata fallback in Core.GetVersion, guarded BackdropTemplate/KEY_ESCAPE browser setup, UTF-8-safe truncation and capacity enforcement in RankDB, explicit gs sorting, lowercase/uppercase equip-location normalization, nil-safe metric-row inserts, guarded adapter color access, and tooltip AddLine wrap flag. |
