Tab2Chat

Tab2Chat is a simple, lightweight Quality of Life (QoL) addon that automatically sets the correct chat channel when you switch tabs.

Instead of manually typing /p, /g, or /w every time you change a chat window, Tab2Chat handles it for you. Just click a tab, and your chat box is ready.

Features

• 
  Automatic Channel Switching: Clicking a standard chat tab (Party, Guild, Trade, Raid, etc.) instantly readies the corresponding chat prefix.

• Whisper Support: Clicking a player's whisper tab automatically prepares a direct message (/w PlayerName) to that specific player. (Tip: For the best experience, we recommend enabling "New Whispers -> New Tab" in WoW's default Social Interface settings!)

• Quick Close Toggle: Clicking your currently active tab a second time instantly closes the chat box and clears your focus.

• Enter Key Integration: Pressing 'Enter' automatically detects your current active tab and prepares the correct chat channel.

• Plug and Play: Zero configuration required. There are no setup menus, no slash commands, and no heavy background processes. It just works.
