What's new
Changelog
v1.3.0
Two parts of the suite are now addons of their own, which the CurseForge app installs with it. Your settings and the ley lines you found carry over.
- Trailwise is the quest arrow: walking routes around cliffs, water and walls (or along the roads with Prefer roads), travel steps by flight, boat, zeppelin or tram, and the routes drawn on the world map. With the Quests addon it still leads to where your quest's mobs spawn. Its options are under the suite's, or
/tw. - Skyborne Compass finds the ley lines and elemental convergences for the Skyborne racials: it reads them off your minimap as you travel, shows them on the world map and the minimap with when they were last seen, and can share them with other players. The Buffs addon's racial reminder uses it to know when one is near.
/sbcfor its options. - Buffs: reminders for the mage's Scroll of Imbue weapon scrolls when your main-hand weapon is the kind the scroll is for (staff, dagger or sword).
v1.2.2
- Buffs: near a ley line, clicking the Skyborne racial icon has the quest arrow lead you there; click again on it to cast. Fixed a Lua error in dungeons where the game hides your auras.
v1.2.1
- Quests: the arrow shows how long the walk takes, starts on the closest area, and "Next area" moves the game's map marker too. Fixed the arrow sometimes disappearing.
- Buffs: the Skyborne racial reminder now shows near known ley lines (or elemental convergences) and pulses when one is around. Locations from Skyborne Ley Line & Convergence Marker by tr0tsky (MIT), plus the spots where you get the buff.
v1.2.0
Quests
- Nicer quest arrow. A new sharp arrow that turns smoothly and changes colour as you turn: green when you're facing your target, yellow when it's to your side, red when it's behind you. The distance line is easier to read, and an icon pulses once you've arrived.
- Quests with several areas. When a quest's area on the map is split into separate pieces, a small Next area button under the arrow takes you to the next one, and back to the first after the last.
- Secret areas. If the quest's mobs also spawn in a spot the game doesn't show on the map, the arrow takes you there first and a Secret area! label appears next to it: fewer players know about it. Only solid spawn groups count, so a mob that was once pulled somewhere odd won't send you on a detour.
- More boats. Travel steps now know the routes Forever added: Stormwind Harbor ↔ Auberdine, the Menethil ship's stop at Southshore, Steamwheedle Port (Tanaris) ↔ Powderfuse Port (Riverglades), and the Zephras Isle skycutter (Dalaran) and zeppelin (Mulgore). The Feathermoon ferry in Feralas was missing and is there now too.
Buffs
- Works on non-English clients. Class buff reminders and buff checks now use your game's language for spell names (for example French), so they're recognised correctly. Your warlock demon is also remembered on those clients.
v1.1.0
Quests
- Travel steps. For quests far away, the arrow tells you how to get there: fly from a flight master you know, take a boat, a zeppelin or the Deeprun Tram. The flight paths you know are read from the flight master's map, so open one once on each character.
- Walking routes (experimental). The arrow follows walkable ground around cliffs, deep water and walls instead of pointing straight through them, with hints like "Enter Fargodeep Mine" or "Take the lift down" in cities, caves and tunnels. Turn it off in the settings or with
/slsq walk. - More quest mob, loot and spawn data, including Forever's own quests.
Walk (new)
- A new addon with the walking-route data for the Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimdor and Zephras Isle. It only loads when the quest arrow needs it.
